Children's 'Mother Day Walk' under Minhaj Youth League

On May 11, 2008 Minhaj Youth League organized a walk of children in front of the Lahore Press Club in order to mark International Mother Day. The walk started at 4 p.m. in which children from across different schools of Lahore participated. The children collectively led the walk and took a round of the Lahore Press Club. They were bearing a huge banner on which was written: "Saluting you, dear Mother". The participants were also carrying small placards bearing different slogans to highlight place of mother. Some children also carried placards in English with slogan like 'Mother is great', 'Happy Mother Day' written on them.

Minhaj-ul-Quran Ulama Council holds 'Ghous-ul-Azam (RA)' Seminar

Minhaj-ul-Quran Ulama Council organized 'Ghous-ul-Azam' Seminar on May 3 in the Central Secretariat Model Town, which was presided over by Amir-e-Tehreek Faiz-ur-Rahman Durrani. Nazim-a-Ala Dr Raheeq Ahmad Abbasi, Sheikh Zahid Fayyaz, Dr Jamil-ur-Rehman, Rana Muhammad Idrees, Allama Mukhtar Hussain Saddiqui, Allama Gul Ahmad Ateeqi, Pir Ghulam Hussain Shah, Qamar Tariq, Haji Imdadullah Khan, Ahmad Nawaz Anjum, Mufti Tabish Qasuri, Allama Mir Asif Akber, Hafiz Muhammad Akber, Allama Muhammad Mumtaz were among the prominent guests at the occasion.

Leaders send community cohesion message

COMMUNITY and religious leaders gathered to send a community cohesion message. Key partners at the event held included: Universal Peace Federation, Minhaj-ul-Quran International, Indian Muslim Federation and Faith Link UK. The event took place on Sunday 4th May 2008 at Minhaj-ul-Quran Centre in Forest Gate. Speaking on community cohesion Mayor of Waltham Forest Liaqat Ali, said: “Community cohesion and the messages and ethos behind it is something of universal benefit.” He told listeners: “True community cohesion by definition involves everybody and can only be achieved if everybody is involved.” He also said: “It really is up to people like us to do all we can to promote peace, understanding and community cohesion.”

Monthly Spiritual Gathering of Gosha-e-Durood

The monthly spiritual gathering of Gosha-e-Durood was held under the banner of Minhaj-ul-Quran International on May 1, 2008. This programme was held in the ground facing the Central Secretariat where beautiful venue was set up. Central Amir-e-Tehreek Miskin Faiz-ur-Rahman Durrani presided over the event, while Nazim-e-Ala Dr Raheeq Ahmad Abbasi, Naib Nazim-e-Ala Sheikh Zahid Fayyaz, Director Foreign Affairs G.M. Malik, Secretary General PAT Anwar Akhtar Advocate, Ahmad Nawaz Anjum, Al-Haaj Muhammad Saleem Qadri, Mufti Abdul Qayyum Hazarvi, Prof Muhammad Nawaz Zafar, Allama Muhammad Idrees Rana, Haji Imdadullah Khan....

Hafiz Muhammad Saeed Raza Baghdadi undertakes Organizational visit of UAE

Senior Naib Nazim of Directorate of Dawat of Minhaj-ul-Quran International Hafiz Muhammad Saeed Raza Baghdadi Minhajian undertook an organizational visit of United Arab Emirates. Upon his arrival at the Dubai International Airport on March 11, he was given a very warm welcome by the central office-bearers and workers of MQI. He stayed in Dana Hotel of Sharja. It was with the introductory meeting that his 10-day long visit got underway on March 12. President MQI Sharja, Waheed Ahmad Bilali, introduced the respected guest with the officer-holders of the organization in this sitting. The members of MQI exchanged views with Hafiz Saeed Raza on some of the important matters regarding effective working of the organization. On March 13, the central programme of Mehfil-e-Milad was held by the name of 'Peace Conference'. Hafiz Muhammad Saeed Raza participated as the chief guest and delivered his keynote speech. The arrangements for this programme were made by Pak Associates.
