On the occasion of the 66th birthday of the MQI founding leader Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri, a ‘Sama‘ & prayer’ ceremony was held under the banner of Minhajians on February 19 at the central secretariat. Internationally known Qawwal Mehr Ali and Sher Ali along with their band members gave a wonderful performance.
On 31st December 2016 Minhaj-ul-Quran International, in association with MWL UK Halifax organised an annual Milad-un-Nabi (ﷺ) programme for women at the Jamia Madni Masjid in Halifax. The event had an excellent turnout with a large number of sisters and their children attending.
A meeting of PAT Central Punjab was held at the central secretariat with Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri in the chair. In his conversation with the participants, Dr Hassan said that dissociation of the Qatari government from the letters written by the Qatari prince proves that these letters are fake. He said that the ruling party is expert in churning out fake things.

The Annual Ghaus-e-Azam (R.A.) conference was held at Jamia Masjid Minhaj-ul-Quran Nelson on Sunday 22nd January 2017. It was organised by Minhaj-ul-Quran International Nelson and featured prominent local Ulema, Naat Khwaans and invited guests. The main guest speaker was Director of Minhaj-ul-Quran Manchester Shaykh Abdul Sattar Siraj.
