Minhaj Welfare Foundation was the first NGO to initiate a project such as 'Collective
Marriages' in Pakistan. Ever since the inauguration of congregational marriage project
five years ago, 600 couples have got married. The burden of under privileged families
has been relieved by MWF yet again in this unique project.
MQI (Australia) holds Mawlid Conference in Melbourne

Minhaj-ul-Quran International (Victoria chapter) held Mawlid-Un-Nabi (SAW) Conference on 4th February 2012. The conference was a true picture of unity within the Muslim community and remarkable presentation of respect, love and reverence for the Holy Prophet (SAW) which Muslims have in their hearts.
MQI Australia celebrates Quid Day

The Minhaj-ul-Quran International Australia was among the leading ones to celebrate the 61st birthday of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri in Sydney (Australia). Sahibzada Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, President of MQI’s Federal Council, and Allama Ramzan Qadri were the chief guests at the ceremony.
MYL arranges an evening with Harun Yahya team to promote the cause of Quranic knowledge

On 1st February 2012, the Muslim Youth League in London arranged an event with the Harun Yahya team. The event was presented by Shaykh Abdul Basit Al Azhari. The evening commenced with the Quranic recitation by Brother Ahmad Raza. This was followed by Hamd by brother Ansar. The MYL brothers’ Nasheed group then chanted hymns and eulogies of Prophet Muhammad (blessings and peace be upon him)
MYL-S Halifax holds the Mawlid Celebration 2012

On 29th January 2012, MYL-S Halifax attended the Leeds Mawlid Celebration to set up a MYL-S stall and promote the London Declaration for Global Peace and Resistance against Extremism at the Bangladeshi Community Centre.

Minhaj.tv has started its special transmission on the 61st birth anniversary of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri. Minhaj.tv will cover all the events being held in connection with his birthday on the 18th and 19th of February. The Quaid Day is being celebrated across five continents including Europe, UK, USA, Gulf, Canada, Africa, and Australia and over 100 countries of Asia.
MWL (Oldham) celebrates Mawlid-un-Nabi (SAW)

Thousands of youth attend MYL’s Milad March

A huge Milad March was held here on January 29 under the aegis of Minhaj-ul-Quran Youth League (MYL) in connection with the birth anniversary of the Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him). The march began from Chandni Chowk and culminated at Committee Chowk. Thousands of people from all walks of life, including associates, workers and office-bearers of Minhaj-ul-Quran from the twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad
participated in the march.
Former Prime Minister of Australia hosts Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri

During the recent Australian lecture tour of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri, he spoke at the New South Wales Parliament, University and community events on subjects related to Islam and peace, and Islamic view on terrorism. He also had various meetings with dignitaries and politicians and was interviewed by the national flagship news program News Line with Jim Middleton.

Minhaj-ul-Quran Women League Islamabad Take Out huge “Candle Walk” to welcome Rabi-ul-Awwal

Hundreds of ladies from every walk of life organized a candlelight walk here on the 25th of January 2012 in connection with Rabi-ul-Awwal celebrations, a month of happiness and blessings in which Holy Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him) was born. The walk organized by Minhaj-ul-Quran Women League NA-48 and 49 started from Melody Chowk and culminated at National Press Club Islamabad.
Comprehensive Hadith compendium al-Minhaj us-Sawi published in English

Al-Minhaj us-Sawi is a milestone work, the first work of its kind for many centuries. It is a compendium of more than 1,100 Prophetic hadiths, categorised under a number of headings and compiled with clear relevance to the lives and situation of Muslims in the modern age. The work is authenticated by a rigorous and detailed process of takhrij—referencing each hadith to its sources—from a study of over 300 authentic works of hadith.
Family Milad March 2012

Milad March in Lahore started from Nasir Bagh and concluded on Data Darbar. Such a large participation of people in the March was demonstration of their extreme love for the Holy Prophet (SAW). The entire venue from Nasir Bagh to Data Darbar was decorated with welcoming banners, flags and multi-colour balloons. The people, on the way, kept on offering greetings and salutations on the Holy Prophet (S.A.W). Men were walking on one side of the road, while on the other side were women and children.
Milad feast 2012 gets underway at central secretariat of MQI

With the advent of the holy month of Rabi-ul-Awal, the Milad celebrations have begun with fanfare at the central secretariat of MQI. Under the slogan of “Come! Let us pledge to be loyal to the Holy Prophet (SAW)”, MQI has arranged many programs to celebrate the occasion in a befitting manner. Like it has been the practice in the previous years, Milad feasts have got underway this year too.

Muhammad Rafiq Habib Al-Azhari, a graduate of Minhaj University Lahore, Director of Scottish Islamic & Cultural Centre (Jamia Masjid Bilal) Dundee, and General Secretary British Council for Islamic Guidance (BCIG), has recently completed his PhD from Al-Maktoum College for Higher Education Dundee, University of Aberdeen, Scotland UK.
