Celebration of Urs Mubarak Hazoor Daata Ganj Bakhash Ali Hijwairi(RA)

Masha Allah by the blessings of Almighty Allah and His Beloved Rasool (SAW) a large attendance of both men and women young and old gathered to participate in the programme. The programme commenced with the recitation of the Holy Quran by Sobaan Ahmad.
The 57th birthday of Shaykh-ul-Islam under the banner of MUL

The 57th birthday of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri, the ambassador of global peace, was celebrated in the new campus of the Minhaj University Lahore with great love and zeal. The ceremony was presided over by the Vice-Chancellor of the Minhaj University Dr Nazir Romani. Central Ameer-e-Tehreek Sahibzada Miskeen Faiz-ur-Rahman Durrani, Nazim-e-Aala Minhaj-ul-Quran International and the Principal of Minhaj University Dr Raheeq Ahmad Abbasi and Naib Nazim-e-Aala Sheikh Zahid Fayyaz also decorated the occasion as chief guests. The registrar of the Minhaj University Col. (R) Muhammad Ahmad, control examinations Chaudhary Muhammad Yaqub and deputy registrar G M Malik were also present on the occasion.
Mahfil-e-Mushaira in Minhaj University

On the fifth day of weekly celebrations held under the auspicious of Bazm-e-Minhaj (Minhaj University), a grand Mahfil-e-Mushaira was organized. The moot was presided over by Principal Dr Raheeq Ahmad Abbasi, while Khawaja Ghulam Qutab-ud-Din Faridi was the guest of honour at the occasion. The special guests present at the occasion included Naib Nazim-e-Ala Sheikh Zahid Fayyaz, the renowned anchor of Geo TV and senior journalist Sohail Warriach, Vice Captain of Pakistan Cricket Team Misbah-ul-Haq, Fast Bowler Shahid Nazir, Dr Masood Muhjahid and prominent poet and executive producer PTV Iftikhar Majjaz.
Celebrations on the 57th birthday of Shaykh-ul-Islam

Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri reached his 57th birthday on February 19th 2008 and ceremonies were held to commemorate the Quaid Day. In this connection a programme was arranged at Farid-e-Millat Research Institute, Central Secretariat of Minhaj-ul-Qur'an Internationl (MQI). The programme commenced with the recitation of the Holy Qur'an. It was followed by Naat recitation of the Holy Prophet and greetings and salutations on his person. Sahibzada Husain Muhy-ud-Din Qadri, a member of Supreme council of MQI, presided over the programme.
Muharram-ul-Haram : Veneration for the esteemed family of the Holy Prophet (saw)

During the month of Muharram-ul-Haram, Glasgow Minhaj Women League organised a programme in remembrance of one of the most significant events in the history of Islam; the martyrdom of Imam Hussain (ra). In this gathering over 250 women attended from different areas of Glasgow and other sisters traveled from Edinburgh to be part of this blessed event. The program began with Sister Tasneem Babar reciting a Surah from the Holy Quran. This was followed by the host of the event, Sister Ambreen Mehmood (ICIS graduate), welcoming all the sisters.
Educational Camp in Hong Kong

organized an educational camp for the Pakistani youth in Hong Kong after Isha

Chung. A significant number of people participated in the event.

In recent times the public has perhaps become less discerning as to whom they choose to follow or imitate, but nevertheless once a person achieves a certain amount of fame or is adopted as a role model an unending curiosity regarding every element of that persons life begins.

Al Hamdulillah approximately 1600 sisters and brothers gathered for this splended event.
Mosque Open Day for the general public held at Nelson UK

Alhamdulillahi Taala on Wednesday 16th May 2007, Jamia Masjid Minhaj-ul-Quran Nelson held a Mosque Open Day for the general public as well as members of the council. The event was the first of its kind in the Pendle area to build meaningful bridges between diverse communities, improving dialogue and understanding. The project was part of an ongoing series of community cohesion events and included exhibitions and presentations from Minhaj-ul-Quran International (MQI), Minhaj Welfare Foundation UK (MWF), East Lancs Community Action Projects (ELCAP), Pendle Community Radio (PCR) and Thinkers Forum UK, who also sponsored the event.
In The Remembrance of our Brother Shahzad Shaffi (Late)

It has been almost a year since our Beloved Brother Shahzad Akhtar Shaffi, Managing Director of Minhaj Welfare Foundation (MWF), UK passed away.� The people who worked with him, knew him and lived with him commemorate him.� He has certainly not been forgotten, especially within the welfare office, Minhaj centre and the Muslim Youth League (MYL) of Nelson.
Training Course in MQI Oslo Norway

To achieve all this Amir MQI-Norway respectable Allama Hassan Mir Qadri has Started a Training course on 18th May, 2007 for the affiliates and the members of MQI Oslo Norway.
In his lecture he told, that Minhaj ul Quran International was set up in 1981, by one of the greatest scholars of Islam, Hazoor Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri, under the spiritual guidance of Hazoor Pir Sahib Syedna Tahir Alaaudin Al-Qadri Al-Gilani(RA) in Pakistan.
Minhaj-ul-Quran International is actively engaged in propagating the true message of Islam at local and international level. It is a non governmental organization attracting people of all ages and walks of life.

Sayyidina Pir Muhammad Zia ud Din visit of Farghana

An enlightening gathering of remembrance was held for Qudwah al-Awliyah Shaykh al-Mashaikh Qutb al-Aalam Sayyidina Tahir Ala al-din al-Gilani al-Baghdadi (ra) at the Farghana Institute, Manchester, on the 7th June 2007. This gathering was further illuminated by the presence of Sayyidina Muhammad Zia al-din al-Gilani, who is the son of Sayyidina Tahir Ala al-din al-Gilani (ra). The honored guest is from amongst the descendents of the celebrated saint Gawth al-Azam Shaykh Abdul Qadir al-Gilani al-Baghdadi (ra), the founder of the Qadiriyah Tariqah. There were many participants in this gathering; some of the participants came from Holland.

The award of the title of Knighthood to Sulman Rushdee is a farce

The coronation of Sulman Rushdee awarding him the title of knighthood is nothing but a farce. The Minhaj ul Quran International strongly condemn this unwise decision of the British government and demand to withdraw it from the denigrator of the Holy Prophet and the declared and notorious antagonist of Islam. It is shockingly amazing that a person who has maligned Islam through his blasphemous book "satanic verses" is being so warmly welcomed and honored with such an award. Awarding and honoring the cursed man is in one sense playing with the emotions of the Muslims of the world in general and those of Europe in particular. The British Govt. being already aware of his denigration and blasphemy and the most condemnable act has done no service to humanity by awarding the denigrator the title of knighthood; she has rather widened the gulf between the east and the west and has tried to create serious unrest among the Muslims. The troublesome act is also bound to upset the interfaith harmony, ecumenism and the atmosphere of dialogue already in progress to promote tolerance and moderation in the societies round the globe. Had there been a little wisdom and concern for peace the decision-makers would have discerned the dark future and bleak probabilities which are now feared to emerge.
Benazir Bhutto's Sister Visits MQI Centre on Romford Road in London

The late Pakistani pioneer Benazir Bhutto's sister Ms Sanam Bhutto visited the Minhaj ul Quran International centre on Romford Road in London on Saturday 10th February 2008. Ms Sanam Bhutto along with members of the Bhutto family joined members of the public and workers of Pakistan People's Party in saying prayers for the late Ms Benazir Bhutto who died on 27th December 2007 in a suicide attack in Rawalpindi in Pakistan.

On the fourth day of weekly celebrations being held under the banner of Bazm-e-Minhaj in the College of Shariah and Islamic Sciences (Minhaj University), All-Pakistan inter-collegiate speech declamation contest in Arabic and English languages was held. The topic of English speech was "What man has made of man!" and that of Arabic speech was "One succeeds in obtaining whatever one strives for". Principal Dr Raheeq Ahmad Abbasi presided over the event, while Vice Chancellor of Veterinary University Dr Muhammad Nawaz, senior Professor Superior College Haseeb-ur-Rehman, Prof Muhammad Asim Manzoor, Brig. (r ) Muhammad Iqbal were the guests of honour. Mufti Abdul Qayyum Khan Hazarvi, Prof S. M. Shafique, Dr Masood Mujahid, Muhammad Akram Qadri, Mian Muhammad Abbas, Ahmad Nawaz Anjum, Aqil Malik, Faizullah Baghdad and other teachers of COSIS were also present at the occasion.
