MQI Bahrain holds Shahdat-i-Imam Hussain (RA) Conference

In order to remember the great tragic happening on the plains of Karbla in the annals of human history and pay respects and tribute to Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) and his companions, Minhaj-ul-Quran International (Bahrain chapter) organized Shahadat-i-Imam Hussain (RA) Conference which was held in the Islamic center on the 10th of Moharram

Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has said that the grief for Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) and his companions is a part of the Muslims’ faith and it is not fair to associate it with any particular sect. He said that Hazrat Imam Hussain is a metaphor of love, peace, tolerance and human brotherhood, whereas Yazid is a symbol of terrorism, exploitation, oppression and evil.
MQI Victoria holds ‘Zikr-e-Hussain (RA)’ Conference

Minhaj-ul-Quran International (Victoria chapter) held the Zikr-e-Hussain (RA) conference on 3rd December 2011. The purpose of this spiritual gathering was to pay tributes to the great sacrifice of the grandson of Holly Prophet (SAW), Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA). The intention was to promote the spirit of association and love with Allah Almighty and his beloved Prophet Muhammad (SAW) and his kindred.

High level Norwegian delegation visits MQI Secretariat

A five member delegation of religious leaders of Norway, headed by Pastor Trygve Brekke,the head of International Relations, and other members, Reidun Kristoffersen, Barbro Brekke, Arnold Kristoffersen, and Arve Odegard visited Main Secretariat of Minhaj-ul-Quran International on 28th November, 2011 at 11.30 am. The delegation was accompanied by Dr Marqus Fida (chairman of International Gospel Mission), Mr. Suleman Amant, Mr. Javed Akhtar and Mr. Nadeem Sadiq.

Central leaders of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf Talat Naqvi and Umar Cheema called on Dr Raheeq Ahmad Abbasi, central Secretary General of Minhaj-ul-Quran International in central secretariat of MQI today. Dr Abbasi was assisted by Sheikh Zahid Fayyaz, Anwar Akhtar Advocate, Brig. (r) Iqbal Ahmad Khan, Brig. (r) Dr Obaidullah Ranjha, Qazi Faiz-ul-Islam, and Jawad Hamid in the talks, while PTI delegation included Khalid Miraaj and Sardar Kamil Umar.

MQI Leaders visit Governor Punjab to condole Begum Bhutto's sad demise

To condole the sad demise of Begum Nusrat Bhutto, a delegation of Tehreek-e-Minhaj-ul-Quran (TMQ) and Pakistan AwamiTehreek (PAT) led by Dr. Raheeq Ahmed Abbasi, Secretary General TMQ, called on Governor Punjab Sardar Muhammad Latif khosa, and expressed their sorrow and grief over Begum Bhutto's sad departure from life that is an irreparable loss of PPP workers and Party leadership. The delegation offered Fateha and prayed for the departed soul to rest in peace. Dr. Raheeq Ahmed Abbasi, also conveyed the grief of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri on Begum Nusrat Bhutto’s sorrowful departure.
Team MWL spends Eid with orphan children & helpless women

It has been a standard practice of Minhaj-ul-Quran Women League that it has always been celebrating the festive occasions of Eid and other religious festivals along with orphan, poor and helpless children. On the occasion of Eid-ul-Adha this year too, MWL arranged a number of sports for the children of Aagosh, Orphan Care Home, a giant welfare project of Minhaj Welfare Foundation having complete state of the art residential and educational facilities for the poor and helpless children.
Collective sacrifice 2011 under MWF

Like previous years, collective sacrifice of animals took place at hundreds of places across the country under the banner of Minhaj Welfare Foundation. On the special instructions of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri, Minhaj Welfare Foundation made arrangements for sacrifice of animals at 300 places in the country including a dozen of places in the flood hit areas of Sindh. The meat of sacrificed animals was distributed among the deserving and poor people to make them celebrate the festive occasion.

It is a matter of immense pleasure that Mustafavi Student Movement (MSM) is going to organize بیداریِ شعور طلبہ اجتماع at Nasir Bagh, old campus Punjab University, Lahore at 11 a.m. on 19th November. With the slogan "Ik Azam Kren Ik Kam Kren, Mustehkam Pakistan Kren”, (Let us make a resolve to strengthen Pakistan,) different seminars are being arranged by the workers of MSM throughout the country.

Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has congratulated the Pakistani nation, expatriate community and the Muslims around the globe on the auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Adha. In his message from the holy Makka, Shaykh-ul-Islam said that Eid-ul-Adha taught the faithful to include the exploited and less-privileged sections of society in their happiness. He asked the Muslims to revive the spirit of brotherhood, which once characterized the Islamic world to help their disadvantaged brethren in their hour of trial and tribulation.

Monitoring Committee inspects under-construction houses for flood victims

Iftikhar Shah Bokhari, Director of Minhaj Welfare Foundation, with the monitoring team including Muhammad Aqil Malik, Engr. Asif Ramzan, Engr. Afzal Ghous, Dr Tanvir Azam Sandhu and Mian Iftikhar Ahmad inspected the under-construction houses in Rajanpur for the flood affectees of 2010. Minhaj Welfare Foundation constructed 784 houses including repair of 500 houses damaged in the floods.

A meeting of Minhaj-ul-Quran Women Advisory Council was held in the central secretariat of Minhaj-ul-Quran International on 1st of October, with Sumaira Rafaqat Nazima Women League, in the chair. The meeting was attended by Ms Noshaba Zia, Sidra Karmat, Shakira Chaudhry, Afnan Babar, Naila Jafar, Nabeela Yousuf and Sajida Sadiq.
