Milad-un-Nabi Conference held in Norway

Milad-un-Nabi Conference held in Norway Sister Ghazala Hassan Qadri explained that the importance of the love of the Holy Prophet (S.A.W) equalling it that of a spirit in our body. The same way the spirit of the body of Deen is Love of The Holy Prophet (S.A.W). We are called dead body (a mayyat) when the spirit is taken away from our body. In the same way all the Amaal (actions) are to be considered dead if they are without the spirit of love and respect of the Holy Prophet (S.A.W). And all the deeds (amaal) will not be beneficial at all.

MYL (Norway) holds a course on understanding Islam Continuing a series of courses with different themes, MYL arranged a weekend course at Minhaj-ul-Quran Oslo. The last weekend of February was spent learning about the aims and objectives of MQI and about the personality, work and services of its founder, Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul- Qadri and about conformism, “the importance of following someone”.

Seminar on containing extremism held under MRC Norway Minhaj Reconciliation Council (Norway) arranged a prestigious seminar in Oslo on the subject of “How to contain extremism?” on September 3, 2011. Shaykh Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, chairman of WAAG Pakistan Branch, was the guest of honour on the occasion. This unique program in the Norwegian history was organized with the cooperation of Police and Justice Departments.

The proceedings of the dinner got underway with the recitation from the Holy Quran by Allama Sadaqat Ali Qadri. Iqra Mustaq, Iqra Ijaz and Iqra Iqbal of Sheema Naat Council had the honour to recite Naat on the occasion.

MYL (Norway) arranges course with the collaboration of WAAG- Pakistan branch Minhaj Youth League (MYL) started its intensive course of the summer 2011, on Saturday, the 16th of July. It was a 15 hour course spread over three days. Shaykh Ramadan al-Qadri al-Azhari led the course titled “Muslim Youth in the Western world”, including multiple topics. The last session included some facts about MQI as a worldwide organization.

Minhaj Reconciliation Council wins award Minhaj Reconciliation Council Norway was conferred this year's award of Rawalpindi Islamabad Welfare Society in Norway on March 27th 2011. The prize is awarded annually to a person or an organization for socially useful work. The prize was handed over by the Pakistani Ambassador Mohammad Faiz Khouso. The ambassador appreciated Minhaj Reconciliation Council and its work.

A Minhaj Youth team wins laurels A team of Minhaj Youth, “Geek Power Woopies”, won the FLL Champions trophy and became the FLL Champions of Lillestrøm regional competition. This secured the team a place in the Scandinavian final where they stood second among 12,000 participants. The team is now getting ready for the European final in the Netherlands in June, Insha’Allah.

MQI Oslo holds a grand Mawlid-un-Nabi Conference The event of Milad-Un-Nabi (SAW) was celebrated with great enthusiasm on Saturday, 5th March 2011 under the auspices of Minhaj-Ul-Quran International Oslo, in which a large number of people from surrounding areas participated. The Programme started with the recitation from the Holy Quran by Imam Qari Tofeeq Ahmed. He also recited a delightful ‘nashhed’ . Muhammad Wahhed Butt Noori, a renowned naat khwaan from Pakistan, recited Naat in a beautiful manner. Muhammed Milaad Raza Qadri also participated and presented some beautiful Nasheeds.
