Vice President of Catalonia visits Minhaj Islamic Centre Barcelona

Mr. Jose-Lluis, vice President of Catalonia, an autonomous state of Kingdom of Spain, paid a visit to Minhaj-ul-Quran Islamic Centre (Catalonia) at the head of an official delegation on October 22, 2009. This visit was in connection with the inauguration of open door session held in Minhaj Islamic Centre Barcelona.

MQI Secretary General visits Socialist Party’s Headquarters, meets its leaders

On June 15, 2009, Dr Raheeq Ahmad Abbasi, Secretary General of Minhaj-ul-Quran International, visited the Headquarter of Socialist Party of Catalonia (PSC) and held meeting with the party’s leadership. Dr Abbasi was accompanied by a delegation which included Muhammad Naeem Chaudhry, senior vice president of Minhaj European Council, Allama Muhammad Iqbal Azam, Secretary General, Muhammad Nawaz Kiyani, patron of MQI Spain, Naveed Ahmad Undalasi, Muhammad Iqbal Chaudhry, president of Minhaj Reconciliation Council, Zil-e-Hassan, Muhammad Atiq, Yousuf Bilal and Khurrum Shabbir.

Deputy Mayor of Barcelona city visits Minhaj Islamic Centre

Deputy Mayor of Barcelona Municipal Council, Mr. Carles Marti, paid a visit to Minhaj Islamic Centre, Barcelona, on the special invitation of Minhaj Reconciliation Council on April 30, 2009. He was also accompanied by Paco Salvador, vice president of Municipal Cooperation of ancient city i.e. Clutat Vella and in-charge of expatriates’ affairs Mr. Daniel de Torres at the occasion.

Meeting of Minhaj European Council 2009

The annual meeting of Minhaj European Council was held in the Minhaj Islamic Centre, Barcelona, on January 17, 2009 in which a number of issues came under discussion. Amir of MEC Allama Hassan Mir Qadri, president Syed Muhammad Arshad Shah, Secretary General Allama Muhammad Iqbal Azam, senior vice President Muhammad Naeem Chaudhry, Nazim Welfare Dr Abid Aziz Khan, Nazim Minhaj Reconciliation Council Ijaz Ahmad Warriach, and Secretary Information Naveed Ahmad Undalsi participated in the meeting.

Spanish Minister for Labour meets expat representatives

Spanish Minister for Labour, Mr. Celestino Corbacho, held a meeting with the representatives of the expatriate community on October 17, 2008. The Pakistani delegation was led by Muhammad Iqbal Chaudhry, the spokesman for Minhaj-ul-Quran International (Spain chapter).

MQI Barcelona chapter hosts a dinner in the honour of the central leaders

The son of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri, Sahibzada Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, and the Secretary General MQI, Dr Raheeq Ahmad Abbasi were given a red-carpet welcome upon their arrival in Barcelona on July 31, 2008. Later on, the Barcelona chapter of Minhaj-ul-Quran International hosted a dinner in the honour of the visiting guests and other leaders of Europe in the renowned Pakistani restaurant.
