5th Annual Gosha-E-Darood Held at MQI, London

The 28th of April 2012 marked the 5th yearly (60 months) ghosha-e-darood at MQI, London. Simultaneously, Quran-khawani took place for the ‘isal-e-sawab’ of the late mother of Ameer-e-Tahreek UK, Zahoor Ahmed Niazi. Many distinguished guests including prominent media and press dignitaries were among the attendees.

Present on the MYL-S Executive panel were Ambreen Mehmood (President), Sweba Majid Khan (Vice President), Jabeen Ali Tahiri (General Secretary), Somia Zaman (Human Resources), Fathema Khan (Finance), and Marinah Syed Shah (Public Relations).

The final week of the Muslim Youth League UK – S Executive tour started off in Walsall, a small town in the West Midlands. Under the leadership of the local Coordinator, Yasmin Hussain, the Walsall sisters had made all the necessary arrangements at the Palfrey Community Centre.
MYL-S Huddersfield Sisters holds Circle

After a boost from the Muslim Youth League UK – Sisters executive team, on Saturday 7th of April MYL-S Huddersfield had their first sisters’ circle. A total of 15 sisters attended. The circle commenced with a beautiful recitation of the Holy Quran by Sana Mazhar followed by Salutations on the Beloved Prophet (PBUH) by Fazeela Shafi.

The fifth weekend of the Executive tour coincided with the Easter weekend and the Executive made their way to Waltham Forest in London. Under the leadership of the local coordinator Humaira Ali, the Waltham Forest sisters had made all the necessary arrangements at the Waltham Forest Town Hall.
MYL-S holds program in Yorkshire

Sheffield, South Yorkshire was the first stop of the MYLUK-S Executive tour during the fourth week. Local coordinators Asima Zahir booked the Sharrow Community Forum, Old Junior School for the event. With the assistance of her team in Sheffield they had made the necessary arrangements and were on hand at the entrance to welcome and guide the attendees in as the venue was much like a maze.

Reception held in honour of Shaykh-ul-Islam

Minhaj-ul-Quran International (UK) organized a reception in the honour of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri upon his return from his successful visit to India. The reception was held on March 20, 2012. The proceedings of the programme got underway with the recitation of the Holy Quran by Hafiz Sajjad Hussain followed by Naat which Muhammad Afzal Noshahi had the honour of reciting.

Shaykh-ul-Islam reaches UK after his visit to India

Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri, founding leader and Patron-in-Chief of MQI, reached the United Kingdom on March 20 after his successful visit of India. The central leaders of MQI (UK) extended him a warm welcome at the Heathrow Airport London. The reception party included Allama Muhammad Afzal Saeedi, Dawood Hussain Mashahdhi, Shahid Mursaleen, Hafiz Nazir Ahmad Khan, Allama Muhammad Sadiq Qureshi, Haji Abdul Ghafoor, Sohail Butt and others.
MWL Halifax organizes 18th annual event of Milad-un-Nabi (S.A.W.)

The evening commenced with the Quranic recitation by Brother Ahmad Raza. This was followed by Hamd by brother Ansar. The MYL brothers’ Nasheed group then chanted hymns and eulogies of Prophet Muhammad (blessings and peace be upon him)
