Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has said that the saints or Friends of Allah would keep coming to this world and no age would be without the Divinely guided people. This notion is based on ignorance that none would come to the world for guidance after the Holy Companions. The fact remains that Allah’s chosen people would keep coming to the world till the Day of Judgment. He said that the age we were living in was marked by materialism and rate race and the need for guidance has increased manifold in this backdrop. “How could it be possible that Allah stops sending his chosen people for guidance in the face of such a dire need?” he opined.

Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri expressed these views while delivering his keynote telephonic speech at the Training Camp organized by Minhaj-ul-Quran Women League in Lahore this afternoon. He said that Minhaj-ul-Quran International was playing its role in bridging the gap between the Muslims and West through increased interaction, interfaith dialogue and harmony. “MQI is a clarion call to the Muslims and urges them to work tirelessly for peace and harmony in the world and show people that Islam is all about peace and integration. It enjoins upon its followers to destroy walls that divide them and build bridges instead in the larger interest of humanity,” he held.

Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri said that the purpose of organizing these training camps is to give people an opportunity to introspect themselves with a view to reforming their conduct. These camps, he added, also served as refresher courses for women who, otherwise, did not get enough chance to know about their rights due to their domestic obligations. He said that the struggle for promotion of peace needs to be started with the reform of one’s own self and there can be no greater institution that that of a mother. He said that MQI stood against terrorism and extremism and such camps were meant to serve as bulwark against these evil forces.

Secretary General Women League Sumaria Rafaqat, Sajida Sadiq, Sidra Karamat, Maryam Hafeez, Sadaf Iqbal, Nageena Waheed, Aneela Daoger, Rafia Ali and other leaders were also present on the occasion. The camp is being attended by hundreds of women from across Pakistan.
