Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri condemns suicide hits in Lahore and Karachi
Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri, founding leader of
Minhaj-ul-Quran International, has condemned the suicide attacks in
Lahore and Karachi in the strongest possible words. He said that these
two incidents of brutality show that terrorism remain a potent threat
to the state and society and requires holistic national response to
defeat it. He regretted the fact that meaningless bickering among the
political parties over the petty issues has weakened the country’s
capacity to fight the twin evils of terrorism and extremism. The
failure of parliament, he added, to legislate on the issue of
terrorism and bridge lacunae has served to embolden the terrorists who
have let it be known that they can strike at will and at the time of
their own choosing.
Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri appreciated the sacrifices and valour of
the security personnel who gave their own life but saved hundreds of
people from being hit. He prayed to Allah Almighty to rest the
departed souls in peace and give patience to their families to bear
the loss of their near and dear ones.
Meanwhile, Sahibzada Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, Sahibzada Hussain
Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, Dr Raheeq Ahmad Abbasi and Sheikh Zahid Fayyaz have
also condemned the terrorist incidents and condoled the deaths of
innocent people.
