MWL (France) celebrates Mawlid-un-Nabi (SAW)

On the 11th of January 2015, Minhaj Women and Sisters League (France) organised a program to celebrate the birth of the Holy Prophet (SAW) on the occasion of the 12th Rabi ul Awwal.

Throughout the programme, the message of peace, tolerance and humanity was preached, which is the true message of Islam. The special guest speaker was Sumaira Faisal (coordinator Minhaj Women League Europe).

The programme was presented by Mrs Ishrat Jawad and Mrs Arooj Fatima Qazi (president MWL France). They first welcomed the audience and thanked them for taking time out to gather in the remembrance of Almighty Allah and His beloved Prophet (SWS). From the beginning to the end of the event, they both kept the audience in a spiritual state of mind by their touching and inspiring way of expression.

The Mehfil started with the recitation of a verse from Surah Al-Rehman, by Uzma Waheed. Then a series of praises on the Holy Prophet (Peace be upon him) started by Iram Jahangir, Mrs Sitara Malik, Mrs Robina Ashraf, Mrs Firdaus, Sister Sawera, Mrs Shamim Zahoor. Sister Rehana Altaf then did a speech in French for the youth attending the programme regarding the Mawlid-un-Nabi (SAW) and its message.

Following on in this beautiful Mehfil-e-Milad, Minhaj Naat Council groups sang delightful Nasheeds. Those who recited included Wafia & Rabia Group, Asma & Group, Samreen & sisters.

Afterwards, the programme carried on with the speech of Mrs Sumaira Faisal, our chief guest. She delivered a truly touching account of our beloved Prophet (Peace be upon him and his family). She described the beautiful characteristics of the holy Prophet (SAW) and his high status and how the companions used to show their love and respect to him. She continued by describing that Minhaj-Ul-Quran unites us all and we should not think of ‘I’ and that we should think of ‘we’ in everything that we do. She explained the need of our link, our attachment to our Prophet (SAW) and also the implementation of the Sunnah in our daily life. Besides she drew our attention on the importance of teaching this love – Ishq-e-Rasool- and this respect to our families.

MWL General Secretary, Mrs Nazia Adnan was invited on the stage to convey a message and emphasizing the fact that nowadays Minhaj-ul-Qur'an International is the most important organisation spreading and struggling for peace, interfaith dialogue and harmony. She said that there is no place for terrorism in Islam. She then presented 600-page Fatwa against terrorism written by Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri.

Finally all the ex-Presidents and executive members of MWL were invited to cut the cake on the occasion of Milad-un-Nabi (SAW). Mrs Tayba Mansoor prepared and distributed many sweets and gifts packets among the children. The programme ended by the recitation of Salutations on the Holy Prophet (SAW) and a beautiful prayer by Mrs Zahida Azhar.

MashAllah it was a day to remember and everyone felt the beauty and the luck of being among the followers of our beloved Prophet (SAW). Refreshment was served to the participants.
