Love of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) key to understanding epoch of Miraj: Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri

In his special message on the blessed occasion of Ascension (Miraj-un-Nabi), Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri, the founding leader and patron-in-chief of MQI, has said that the Holy Prophet’s (peace and blessings be upon him) journey of Ascension represents the high point of humanity. He said that Ascension is such a miracle which human mind fails to comprehend. He said that progress in the field of science and technology has helped the understanding of Night Journey of Ascension. He said that it is not intellect but the love of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), with which one can understand and comprehend the epoch of Ascension. He said that with the spread of light of knowledge, the reality of the Journey will be revealed to the human heart and mind.

Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri said that Miraj-un-Nabi (peace and blessings be upon him) is a living miracle which Allah Almighty has testified in the Holy Quran. He said that he who denied the reality of this miracle came to be known as Abu Jahal and the one who affirmed the existence of this journey was known as Hazrat Abu Baker (AS). He said that ‘Namaz’ (prayer) is the best gift of this journey of love, which will remain there for the Muslims till the Day of Judgment. He advised the Muslim community to hold on to this great gift.

Dr Qadri said that Allah Almighty conferred miracles on the Prophets for authenticity of their claims to prophethood and as a test case for the faith of the believers and all miracles together cannot even come closer to universality and authenticity of the Miraj-un-Nabi (peace and blessings be upon him). He said that the non-believers raised a mountain of questions after occurrence of Miraj-un-Nabi (peace and blessings be upon him) and tried to sow seeds in the hearts of the believers. However, creation of doubts in the minds and hearts of those who got the enlightenment of Oneness of God through the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) proved to be a pipedream because the believers hold every word spoken by the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) as the ultimate reality.

Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri said that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), through this Night Journey, broke new grounds of knowledge for humanity till the Day of Judgment. He said that it is however unfortunate that the Muslims on whom the first word revealed was ‘Iqra’ remain bogged down in the darkness of ignorance, illiteracy and extremism. He said that for development of knowledge, the Ascension will have to be understood from scientific point of view.
