Scholars Should Refute Social Media Propaganda Against the Essential Tenets of Faith with Evidence and Reason MQI Founder and Patron-in-Chief Addresses the "Glory of the Holy Prophet's Household (Ahl al-Bayt) Conference" in the United Kingdom

The Founder and Patron-in-Chief of Minhaj-ul-Quran International, Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri, addressed a grand gathering at the "Glory of the Holy Prophet's Household (Ahl al-Bayt) Conference" held at Jamia Islamia Ghausia Trust, Luton, under the auspices of Markazi Jamiat Ahl-e-Sunnat (UK and Overseas).

In his address, Dr. Tahir-ul-Qadri said that the purity of the Prophet's Household (Ahl al-Bayt) has been explicitly declared by Almighty Allah. He urged religious scholars to respond to negative propaganda on social media directed against the essential tenets of faith with references from the Holy Qur'an and the Sunnah, supported by sound reasoning and authentic evidence.

He observed that certain misguided individuals are creating intellectual confusion among young people and emphasized that the knowledge, piety, purity, and exemplary character of the Ahl al-Bayt serve as an enduring source of guidance for the Muslim Ummah.

Dr. Tahir-ul-Qadri stressed that the tragedy of Karbala should not be viewed through a purely political or worldly lens. Rather, the exalted status and rank of the Prophet's family should be understood in the light of the Holy Qur'an and the authentic traditions of the Prophet (PBUH). He noted that the Qur'an and reliable Prophetic traditions contain countless and unparalleled virtues of the Ahl al-Bayt.

He further stated that love, reverence, and loyalty towards the Prophet's Household constitute a fundamental element of faith. He urged the Muslim Ummah to seek guidance from the Qur'an and Sunnah in order to appreciate the spiritual fragrance of the blessed family of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), and cautioned believers against allowing their devotion to the Ahl al-Bayt to be influenced by misconceptions, sectarian disputes, or distorted historical narratives.

"The blessed household of the Prophet (PBUH) will remain a beacon of light and guidance until the Day of Judgment," he concluded.

The conference was attended by Pir Syed Mazhar Hussain Gilani, President of Markazi Jamiat Ahl-e-Sunnat (UK and Overseas); Pir Syed Munawar Hussain Shah Jamati; Syed Ali Abbas Bukhari, President of Minhaj-ul-Quran International UK; Allama Qazi Abdul Aziz Chishti (MBE), Secretary General of Markazi Jamiat Ahl-e-Sunnat (UK and Overseas); as well as prominent scholars, community leaders, and a large number of members of the Muslim community from across the United Kingdom.
