Al-Azhar Scholars Arrive in Lahore to Attend 43rd Annual International Mawlid Conference

Distinguished scholars and academics from Al-Azhar Al-Sharif, Egypt, one of the Muslim world’s foremost centers of Islamic learning, have arrived in Lahore to participate in the 43rd Annual International Mawlid Conference organized by Minhaj-ul-Quran International.

At Allama Iqbal International Airport, the distinguished guests were warmly received by Professor Dr. Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, Chairman of the Supreme Council of Minhaj-ul-Quran International; Khurram Nawaz Gandapur, Secretary General; central leaders of Minhaj-ul-Quran International; and the Principal and senior faculty members of Minhaj University Lahore.

The delegation from Al-Azhar Al-Sharif includes Professor Dr. Abbas Abdallah Shouman, Secretary-General of the Council of Senior Scholars of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif and President of the World Association for Al-Azhar Graduates (WAAG), and Professor Dr. Muhammad Abdul-Dayem Al-Jundi, Secretary-General of the Islamic Research Academy at Al-Azhar Al-Sharif.

On the occasion, central leaders of Minhaj-ul-Quran International, along with the Principal and senior faculty members of Minhaj University Lahore, warmly welcomed the distinguished Arab scholars and expressed their pleasure at their visit to Pakistan.

During their stay in Lahore, the esteemed scholars will attend and address the 43rd Annual International Mawlid Conference of Minhaj-ul-Quran International, to be held at Minar-e-Pakistan. As part of their visit to Pakistan, the distinguished scholars of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif will also participate in the convocation ceremonies of Nizam-ul-Madaris Pakistan and Minhaj University Lahore.
