Exemplary Character Is the Essence of Prophetic Teachings: Prof. Dr. Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri
The people of Allah focus on virtues rather than shortcomings: Address at Jamia Shaykh-ul-Islam
Emotional special prayer led by Dr. Ahmad Badrah of Egypt; Prof. Dr. Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri meets visiting delegations

President of Minhaj-ul-Quran International Prof. Dr. Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, addressing the Friday congregation at Jamy Shaykh-ul-Islam in Model Town, Lahore, said that Islam teaches respect for humanity and urges people to adopt noble character and exemplary conduct.
He said the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) treated even his worst enemies with kindness and good manners. Good character, he added, is a reflection of a person’s character, upbringing and moral training. Harsh speech gives rise to bitterness, disputes and misunderstandings and weakens relationships. The Seal of the Prophets (PBUH), through his exemplary character, developed the finest community in human history. Noble character, he emphasized, is the essence of the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
Prof. Dr. Hussain Qadri said that the people devoted to Allah focus on the virtues and sincerity of others rather than dwelling on their weaknesses and shortcomings. He said this noble human quality was one reason why the spiritual centres of the righteous served as places of refuge and guidance for people during their lifetimes, while their shrines continue to attract people even after their passing.
He said that when Allah Almighty commanded Prophet Moses (AS) to go to Pharaoh and convey the message of truth, He simultaneously instructed him to speak to Pharaoh gently. This was despite Pharaoh being an enemy of both humanity and Allah, committing oppression, practicing polytheism, claiming divinity, persecuting the weak and ordering the killing of children. Even though no one could be more tyrannical than Pharaoh, Prophet Moses (AS) was instructed to adopt a gentle approach while conveying the truth.
He said this provides an important lesson that when seeking to convince someone or soften their heart, one should communicate with gentleness. He urged people to examine their own conduct and ask themselves how they treat those around them, their subordinates, family members and people under their influence.
“Gentleness and good manners can turn even a stone into wax,” he said, urging people to conduct a daily self-accountability before going to sleep and reflect on how they treated others throughout the day.
He said every aspect of the life and character of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) teaches humanity to love and respect others. He added that Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri consistently advises young people to cultivate good character and exemplary conduct, saying that this is the essence of Islam and the message of the Prophetic way.
Chairman of the Supreme Council Minhaj-ul-Quran International Prof. Dr. Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, central leaders and a large number of local residents attended the Friday congregation. At the conclusion, Fazilat-ul-Shaykh Dr. Ahmad Badrah, who had arrived from Egypt, led a special and deeply moving supplication.
