President Minhaj-ul-Quran International, Prof. Dr Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, has called for strengthening national and community bonds to promote peace. He said that the Seerah of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) teaches the values of brotherhood and mutual solidarity. Strong relationships, good character and social harmony are the foundations of a peaceful and purposeful life.
He said love, a sense of belonging and strong social relationships provide people with emotional well-being and a sense of purpose. The Quran and Sunnah teach love, maintaining family ties and harmonious social relations, while the Holy Prophet (ﷺ), through his exemplary life, demonstrated the highest standards of good character and human relationships.
He emphasized that people should treat relatives, elders, children, vulnerable members of society and non-Muslims with love, respect and kindness.
He expressed these views while addressing a grand Seerah Conference organized by Minhaj-ul-Quran Karachi at Jamia Masjid Rahmania.
Prof. Dr Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri said Islam teaches people to strengthen relationships, care for one another's needs and maintain social bonds. The brotherhood established in Madinah between the Muhajirun and Ansar is a great example, where the Holy Prophet (ﷺ) created bonds of brotherhood, sacrifice and love between the two communities.
He said the practical expression of celebrating the birth of the Holy Prophet (ﷺ) is to mend broken relationships, restore ties with estranged friends and acquaintances, share the joys and sorrows of relatives, and support those in need. Love for the Holy Prophet (ﷺ) should not remain confined to recitation of Naat and remembrance; rather, it should be reflected in our manners, attitudes and conduct. A true lover of the Holy Prophet (ﷺ) becomes a source of love, goodness and mercy for his family, relatives and society.
He prayed that Allah Almighty grant us the ability to understand and follow the Seerah of the Holy Prophet (ﷺ) and promote love, brotherhood, family ties and harmonious social relations.
