Prof. Dr. Hassan Mohiuddin Qadri Delivers Inspiring Tarbiyati Session to MQI Canada Members

Canada: Nurturing the Soul, Raising the Next Generation Prof. Dr. Hassan Mohiuddin Qadri Delivers Inspiring Tarbiyati Session to MQI Canada Members. A spiritually uplifting and intellectually enriching Tarbiyati Session was held at the Mississauga Muslim Community Centre, where Prof. Dr. Hassan Mohiuddin Qadri, Chairman of the Supreme Council of Minhaj-ul-Quran International, delivered a profound keynote address to members of Minhaj-ul-Quran International Canada. The gathering brought together community leaders, families, youth, and volunteers in an atmosphere filled with warmth, love, and anticipation as they welcomed Dr. Hassan Qadri to the stage.
In his deeply reflective address, Prof. Dr. Hassan Mohiuddin Qadri emphasised that true tarbiyah (nurturing) extends far beyond physical upbringing. He explained that while society often focuses on outward appearance and material success, Islam teaches that the real essence of a person lies in the refinement of the mind, the purification of the heart, and the development of noble character. He stressed that genuine success is achieved when individuals are spiritually conscious, intellectually enlightened, and morally grounded.
Drawing upon Islamic teachings and contemporary insights, Dr. Hassan Qadri highlighted the sacred responsibility entrusted to parents in shaping the next generation. He explained that a child's educational and spiritual journey does not begin at birth but starts from the mother's womb, where the emotional, spiritual, and moral environment created by the parents has a lasting impact on the child's personality and development. He encouraged parents to cultivate homes filled with faith, remembrance of Allah, love for the Holy Prophet ﷺ, compassion, discipline, and a culture of learning, as these foundations produce confident, righteous, and socially responsible individuals.
Addressing the challenges facing Muslim families in contemporary society, he urged parents to move beyond merely providing material comforts and instead invest in nurturing their children's spiritual identity, moral values, intellectual curiosity, and emotional well-being. He reminded the audience that raising children is not simply about preparing them for successful careers but about preparing them to become sincere believers, compassionate human beings, and responsible members of society who embody Islamic ethics in every aspect of life.
The keynote resonated deeply with attendees, offering practical guidance alongside spiritual inspiration. Dr. Hassan Qadri called upon every member of the community to contribute towards building future generations firmly rooted in faith while confidently engaging with the modern world through knowledge, wisdom, and exemplary character.
The evening commenced with a beautiful recitation of the Holy Qur'an by Qari Shafeeq Ahmad Naeemi Al-Azhari, setting a spiritually uplifting tone for the programme. The session was eloquently hosted by Dr. Abdullah Ahmad Al-Qadri, while soulful nasheeds were presented by Abdullah Sheikh and Allama Noor Ahmad Noor from Norway, adding to the spiritual ambience of the gathering.
Earlier, Sufi Muhammad Tariq, President of Minhaj-ul-Quran International Canada, warmly welcomed Prof. Dr. Hassan Mohiuddin Qadri and all distinguished guests. He expressed gratitude for the opportunity to benefit from such an inspiring gathering and reaffirmed MQI Canada's commitment to promoting authentic Islamic education, spiritual development, and character-building initiatives for individuals and families across Canada.
The Tarbiyati Session concluded with heartfelt prayers for the Muslim Ummah and the continued success of Minhaj-ul-Quran International's mission of education, spiritual revival, and peace-building throughout the world.
