Humanity Must Be Restored to its True Essence: Prof. Dr. Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri

Chairman of the Supreme Council of Minhaj-ul-Quran International, Professor Dr. Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, held a special interaction with journalists from Kahuta Press Club at Kahuta Law College. He was accompanied by Sahibzada Sajid-ur-Rehman, Chairman of Kahuta Law College and Sajjadah Nasheen of Khanqah Naqshbandia Mujaddidia Baghhar Sharif, and Sahibzada Uzair Hashim, Advocate Supreme Court and Chief Executive of Kahuta Law College.
Speaking to the journalists, Professor Dr. Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri said that true revolution means restoring humanity to human beings. There is a need to integrate individuals into a sense of collective responsibility and social solidarity. The model of the State of Madinah teaches us the spirit of muakhat—brotherhood and mutual support—and inspires us to stand by the weak and vulnerable.
He observed that modern human beings are increasingly dominated by sensuality, materialism and animalistic instincts. “We must work to make human beings truly human,” he said.
Dr. Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri further said that social media was supposed to be used by young people as a tool for learning, communication, and positive engagement; unfortunately, however, social media is increasingly using and influencing the younger generation. He said that young people must strive to attain positions of leadership and authority and equip themselves with modern knowledge so that no tool or technology can mislead or manipulate them. He observed that social media is, in many cases, contributing to a growing distance from religious values, and urged young people to work hard and use their voices constructively by sharing positive and meaningful views for the betterment of the nation.
He said that religious seminaries (madaris) can play a positive and decisive role in promoting peace, moderation, and tolerance. Nizam-ul-Madaris Pakistan has taken a serious step in this direction by introducing substantial and fundamental changes to its curriculum. He urged the youth to seek guidance from the Seerah of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) in developing sound character and moral values and in overcoming intolerance. He further said that the revival of the traditional khanqah system could bring about positive change in society.
Dr. Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri invited the faculty of Kahuta Law College and journalists from Kahuta Press Club to visit the central secretariat of Minhaj-ul-Quran International and Minhaj University Lahore.
