Minhaj-ul-Quran International (MQI) Lahore launched the tree plantation drive today as part of the 71st independence anniversary celebrations by planting saplings under the slogan of ‘Green Pakistan, Clean Pakistan’. PAT Secretary General Khurram Nawaz Gandapur, MQI Lahore leader Hafiz Ghulam Farid, Sanaullah Khan, Rana Tajammul, Younis Noshahi and others planted the saplings on the occasion.
On the 8th August 2018, The MWL Malmö team had the blessing to have an exclusive lecture by Dr Ghazala Hassan Qadri, Member of the Supreme Council (MQI) and General Secretary of Minhaj-ul-Qur’an Women League International. MWL Malmo organized a beautiful conference, Sister Shirin Sheikh, the vice president of MWL Malmo organized the decoration on the stage with beautiful flowers, inside the hall with the nalain paak hanging and roses & tulle on the stairs.
A special Independence Day ceremony was held in the central secretariat to celebrate the 71st anniversary of Pakistan’s coming into being. The flag was hoisted on the occasion and a special prayer was made for Pakistan’s peace, progress and prosperity. Speaking on the occasion, PAT Secretary General Khurram Nawaz Gandapur said that we have serious reservations on the statement of Maulana Fazal-ur-Rehman about not celebrating the Independence Day.
Director Minhaj Welfare Foundation Amjad Ali Shah said that like the previous years, MWF has made arrangements for more than 6000 sacrifices in over 100 cities. Camps will also be set up in Bangladesh, Somalia, India, Kenya, Nepal. He said that while meat of the sacrificed animals is distributed among the poor, the proceeds from the sale of the herds is spent on the welfare projects being managed under the banner of MWF.
