Naqsh-e-Awal - First Poetry Book by Sahibzada Hussain Mohi ud Din Qadri

The maiden poetic collection of Sahibzada Hussain Mohi ud Din Qadri has come out in the print by the name of "Naqsh-e-Awal". In this book of poetry Sahibzada Hussain Mohi ud Din Qadri has collected more than 100 poems comprising of 'Haimid, Naat, Manqabat, ghazals and poems free of rhyme scheme. The book also has the honour of having the opinions of eminent poets of the country namely Sayed Altaf Hussain Gillani and Riaz Hussain Chaudhry. The comprehensive introduction of the poet has been written by Mr. Zia Nayyar, Director of Farid-e-Millat Research Institute (FMRI).

Sahibzada Hussain Mohi ud Din Qadri has dedicated this poetic anthology to his father Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri. While introducing the poet, Mr. Zia Nayyar writes, "If we have brief analysis of the poetry of Sahibzada Hussain Mohi ud Din Qadri, we find it to be having the vivid reflection of religious, spiritual and revolutionary ideas. He is hugely impressed by the thoughts of his father Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri and this is clearly demonstrated from his verses."

Sahibzada Hussain Mohi ud Din Qadri has inherited the legacy of composing poetry from his forefathers. One unique feature of this poetic work is that he embarked upon his poetic and imaginative journey during the state of Eitakaaf when he was hardly 13 years old.

In this respect, this poetic anthology is comprised of his creative work between the age of 13 and 19 years. His poetic journey is still underway. The fruit of his six years labour is presented for the incisive readers in the form of ""Naqsh-e-Awal".

The brief educational background of Hussain Mohi ud Din Qadri goes like this: He got his education up to intermediate level from Pakistan. Then he proceeded to Canada where he did his graduation with Management and Political Science as his majors from the York University Toronto. He got MBA degree in international economy from the world-renown University of France, Sciences-Po in Paris. He is doing his Ph.D on the thesis of Global Political Economy these days. He has also been getting Islamic & Shariah education from various teachers along with modern education.

Eminent poet, Riaz Hussain Chaudhry, writes in the preface of the book, "Mysticism has endowed on Sahibzada Hussain Mohi ud Din Qadri these qualities and his personality with all of its attendant aspects and behaviours has been groomed in the environment of spiritualism. He has got the light of mysticism in form of legacy. He is the son of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri whom I regard as the wisdom of his times. He has inherited the creative abilities and the construction of poetic vision is possible through this creative potential."

While going through the poetry of Sahibzada Hussain Mohi ud Din Qadri, the readers need to keep this fact in mind that the poet has entered the literary arena with a clear message and his poetry is characterized by flow of emotions.

Another distinguished poet of the country, Sayed Altaf Hussain Gillani, says about the poet, "No doubt this poetic collection of Sahibzada sahib is replete with the love for Allah, His Prophet (SAW) and his companions. His poetry is also a reflection of pain felt over the violation of human rights and social injustices owing to the existence of Un-Islamic system in the country. The discerning eyes of the poet observe the miseries and heart-rending conditions in which the humanity has been pushed and his heart is agonized over these tragedies. But he does not seem to be shedding his tears anywhere but intends to leave no stone unturned to change the direction of these circumstances with his determination, passion and vigour. He has the desire of seeing Islamic revolution under the inspiring leadership of his beloved leader Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri where the system of Allah and His Prophet (SAW) holds sway over land of Allah."
