In a 600 page theological dissertation by internationally renowned Islamic scholar, Muhammad Tahir ul-Qadri, has just recently completely and unequivocally renounced any interpretation of Islam that condones violence in the name of the Koran. He even goes so far as to condemn all al Qaida members, martyrs, and murderers to hell, even calling them nonbelievers. Some people think this could have far-reaching effects on jihad recruitment worldwide. The only thing I am wondering is, what took so long?
