Well, good. Sheikh Dr. Tahir ul-Qadri, a Pakitani-born Muslim leader living in England, will issue a fatwa that is unambiguous.

The fatwa condemns suicide bombers as destined for hell, refuting the claim used by Islamists that such terrorists will earn paradise after death.

According to this article, Dr. Qadri has a large following and it will therefore be difficult to ignore him.

“Dr. ul-Qadri is respected for his ability to cross some of the notable sectarian boundaries that abound in the Islamic faith as in all others. Even Muslims who might dislike him will not be able to dismiss him out of hand.

Obviously, there needs to be much, much more of this kind of thing. It is a start however, and let's just hope more Muslim leaders jump on the bandwagon. There is a huge population of radical Muslims that have declared war on the West again and again. Presumeably, (and likely) there are millions of Muslims living in these countries that disagree with their leaders but are afraid to say so. The more people like Dr. Qadri speak out, the more the "moderates" will feel that they have religious justification to oppose radical Islam. Now, let's hope Dr. Qadry isn't murdered for this announcement.
