A respected Muslim leader has issued a religious ruling condemning terror attacks.

Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has made a formal fatwa, warning bombers that they are 'destined for hell'.

He added: "They can't claim that their suicide bombings are martyrdom operations and that they become the heroes of the Muslim Umma (the wider Muslim community), no, they become heroes of hellfire, and they are leading towards hellfire."

It's hoped that rejecting the idea of martyrdom will make it harder for terrorists to radicalise and recruit young members.
