The highly respected Islamic scholar and spiritual shaykh, Peer Ameen-ul-Hasnaat of Baihrah Shareef, the son of the great Islamic scholar, Muballigh, Mufassir and judge of Pakistan, Zia-ul-Ummat Justice Pir Muhammad Karam Shah al-Azhari (RA), visited Shaykh-ul-Islam Prof. Dr. Muhammad Tahir -ul-Qadri at the latter`s residence in Lahore.

Peer Ameen-ul-Hasnaat had personally come to Shaykh-ul-Islam to invite him to attend the annual Urs of Zia-ul-Ummat Pir Muhammad Karam Shah al-Azhari, as the chief guest and the main speaker. Shaykh-ul-Islam accepted the invitation and will be attending the Urs on the 2nd of March 2005 (20th Muharram) at Baihrah Sharif.

Peer Ameen-ul-Hasnaat accompanied by his colleagues congratulated Shaykh-ul-Islam on performing the Hajj. Shaykh-ul-Islam mentioned how close he was to �Zia-ul-Ummat� and how �Zia-ul-Ummat� showed a keen interest in the mission of Minhaj-ul-Quran International (MQI). Zia-ul-Ummat had in fact given the title of �Nabgha-e-Asr� (Supreme Unparallel Leader of the Time) to Shaykh-ul-Islam. Shaykh-ul-Islam expressed his happiness in wanting to attend the Urs of Peer Sahib as both of them shared a mutual goal of reviving Islam.

Dr Raheeq Ahmad Abbasi Nazim Ala MQI, G.M. Malik and Prof. Nawaz Zaffer were also present in the meeting.

The visiting delegation was later briefed on the global and national work of Minhaj-ul-Quran International by Dr. Raheeq Ahmad Abbasi. The delegation expressed their great joy that MQI, under the great leadership of Shaykh-ul-Islam, is doing the work which has been long awaited by the Ummah, in order to revive it again.
