Faiz-ur-Rehman Durrani, the president of Pakistan Awami Tehreek, has said that the political parties claiming to work for the Kashmir's freedom have resorted to politics of blame game and recriminations to occupy power. These parties, he said, are cheating the people. Their real aims and objectives have been exposed. He said that the political parties belonging to Azad Kashmir, which have alternated each other in power there, have focused their attention on grabbing resources and pushed the people of Kashmir into web of poverty and unemployment. He said that the conduct of political leaderships has unveiled their 'real charter of democracy'.

PAT President expressed these views while talking to a delegation of Awami Tehreek Punjab, which called on him yesterday in his office under the leadership of Lehrasib Khan Gondal. He said that political parties are driven by their innate urge to grab power and are not beholden to the problems of the people. He added that had they paid a bit of attention to the issues, they would not have been accumulated so much.

Faiz-ur-Rehman Durrani said that the present system is exploitative in nature, which ensures the protection of elite's interests. He stressed the need of sending this system home through generating political awareness among the people. He said that Pakistan Awami Tehreek stood for principled politics and did not approve of the sham democracy, which is currently in vogue. He said that the present system is not capable to address people's problems.
