MQI Halifax celebrates Mawlid-un-Nabi (S.A.W)

On 27th of January 2012, the Inauguration of new extension of the Minhaj-ul-Quran Education Project Halifax took place in the presence of Mr Javid Akhtar (Head of Minhaj-ul-Quran Education Project Halifax), the students of the Minhaj-ul-Quran Education Project Halifax and their parents. The extension of the Minhaj-ul-Quran Education Project includes a new entrance, larger classroom, Reception, Office, Library area, Computer area with internet access, exercising area and also a prayer area.

The evening consisted of beautifully recited Naats by Milad Raza Qadri. All of the students were awarded a ‘Booklet of Naats’ on the occasion. The ceremony saw a huge turnout of people wanting to come to celebrate the birthday of the Holy Prophet (SAW). Representatives of the local Mosques and the Imam of the central Halifax Mosque were also invited to speak on the topic of Mawlid-un-Nabi (SAW) and a short lecture clip of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri was played. It concluded with Salaam and Dua by Haji Rabnawaz Akhtar (Manager of Karwan-e-Madinah Hajj and Umrah Travel service). Sweets were then distributed amongst the participants in the celebration of Mawlid-un-Nabi (SAW).
