23rd of December to be a beginning of change: Irshad Tahir
The 23rd of December will be a watershed in our struggle for change in the electoral system in the country. The day will herald a new beginning for the people of Pakistan. He said that the nation would extend historic welcome to Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri on his arrival, adding that Minar-e-Pakistan will be a witness to the beginning of new movement for social, political and economic stability in the country.
Irshad Ahmad Tahir, head of Lahore chapter of MQI, expressed these views while addressing the meeting of Central Executive Committee of MQI Lahore chapter in the party office today. He said that the people of Lahore were lucky because Shaykh-ul-Islam chose the provincial metropolis for his arrival in Pakistan.
He said that the masses needed to know that their problems continued to multiply because of the flaws in the system, which was designed to support the elite sections of society. He said that it should be our endeavour to strengthen the hands of Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri in his cause for change in Pakistan.
