TMQ Long March reaches near Islamabad

The long march led by Dr Tahirul Qadri, which began a day earlier from Lahore, has reached near Islamabad on late Monday.

A large number of participants are already presents before Saudi Pak Tower near Jinnah Avenue.

Mobiles phone services were being suspended in Rawalpindi and Islamabad in the wake of security fears.

People in buses, vegans and small vehicles jumped into the Long March through GT Road at different places. Participants of the Long March being warmly welcomed and people are joining the march.

A huge stage has been set up in front of Saudi Pak Tower. A large number of people including women and children has already reached in the 'Pindal'. Camps have also been installed near the stage owing to cold weather.

Strict security measures have been taken around the stage, while vehicles of the participants have been parked in a park in F-9 area of Islamabad.

Walk-through gates have been installed over the Jinnah Avenue Bridge from where the participants would go for the procession.

All roads moving towards important government buildings have been blocked with the help of containers.
