PAT workers’ discipline a trend setter in politics: Dr Raheeq Abbasi

The steadfastness and discipline of the workers of Pakistan Awami Tehreek is worthy of emulation by other political parties. Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has injected democratic spirit down to the minimum organizational level of the party that every worker from the union council level upward not only takes part in the decisions of the party but also gives it complete ownership.

Dr Abbasi said that the system of participation is robust, proactive and transparent, which has led to empowerment of the working cadre. PAT does not take decision behind closed doors but under the open skies. The unflinching association of the workers with their party is unbreakable and driven by their love and reverence for their leader Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri. It explains why workers have central role to play in party matters.

Dr Raheeq Abbasi, President of Pakistan Awami Tehreek, expressed these views while talking to various delegations of PAT from Gujranwala, Multan and Faisalabad that called on him in his office today. He said that the political opponents tried to misconstrue the workers’ love for their leader by saying that perhaps PAT not a political party and a bunch of personal disciples of Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri. He said that such thinking was reflection of political hypocrisy.

Dr Raheeq Abbasi reminded the opponents that it was love of hundreds of thousands of people for their leadership, which enabled them to brave the rigours of harsh and incremental weather in Islamabad. He said that political history of the country failed to present such parallel wherein people demonstrated their perseverance. He said that difference between a traditional political party and a party of change was the relation of workers with their leaders. He said that political parasites could not measure the depth of respect which the workers of PAT had for their leadership. He said that the day was not far when the sacrifices of the workers would be successful. He said that the people of Pakistan were determined for change in the leadership of Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri.
