The News: Tahirul Qadri demands reconstitution of ECP

RAWALPINDI: Tehrik-e-Minhajul Quran (TMQ) leader Dr. Tahirul Qadri has said that formation of Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) was not as per the constitution, Geo News reported.

Addressing a public rally here Sunday, Qadri said formation of ECP was not under article 213 of the constitution, adding the commission should be impartial and it should be reconstituted.

TMQ leader said he was elected member parliament in 2002 and resigned in 2004, adding nothing was being done in the national assembly for the welfare of masses, therefore, he launched campaign for change and awareness in people.
