A splendid Irfan-ul-Quran Conference was held on May 10, 2008 in the Government City High School under the banner of Minhaj-ul-Quran International, Haveli Lakha, District Okara. This conference was organized in connection with the successful completion of Irfan-ul-Quran Course. Central Nazim Training Allama Muhammad Idrees Rana presided over the conference, whereas Syed Muhammad Munwar Ali Kazmi was the guest of honour at the occasion. Hafiz Muhammad Saeed Raza Baghdadi, Al-Haaj Muhammad Rafique Anjum, central leader of Jamat Ahle-Sunnet Sardar Shafat Rasool Ladhuka and President Anjuman Ghulam-e-Mustafa (saw) Haji Abdul Majeed Rehmani were among the prominent guests. Hafiz Bashir Ahmad, Khalid Ali Khan Lodhi, Chaudhry Shahid Iqbal, Haji Ahmad Ali Rzaki, Haji Muhammad Mateen Aasi, Chaudhry Nazeer Ahamd, Farooq Azhar, President Human Rights Organization Haveli Lakha Ahmad Sajid, Muneer Ahmad Dar, Chaudhry Rasheed Ahmad, Muhammad Khalid, Zulifqar Ali Qadri from Hujra Shah Muqeem and others belonging to various walks of life also participated. Hundreds of women led by President MWL Haveli Lakha Mohtarma Abida Masood and vice President Mohtarma Tahira Arshad also attended the programme.

A beautifully decorated venue was set up for the conference. Hakeem Muhammad Munawar Dansih conducted the proceedings of the conference. The Conference got underway with the recitation from the Holy Quran by Qari Muhammad Hassan Qadri after the Isha prayers. Minhaj Naat Council Haveeli lakha recited the Naat with 'Duff'. They also presented the 'kalam' of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri. Ahmad Faraz Naeemi also paid tribute to the person of the Holy Prophet (saw) in the form of Naat.

After recitation from the holy Quran and Naat, Allama Muhammad Idrees Qadri delivered his speech on the topic of rights of the Holy Quran, etiquettes of reciting Holy Quran and its blessings. He congratulated the teacher of the Irfan-ul-Quran Course Munwar Ali Kazmi and all the participants upon the successful completion of the course. He said the guidance and light emanating from reciting the Holy Quran can have its permanent effect if it be recited and learnt in the light of the Prophetic love (saw). He said Minhaj-ul-Quran International is popularizing this universal message of Islam before the world and this message is coupled with the connection to the Holy Prophet (saw). Ifan-ul-Quran Course is also a link in the same chain.

After the speech of Allama Muhammad Idrees, the students who completed the three-month long course of Irfan-ul-Quran got their certificates. Special gifts and shields were also distributed among the respected guests. The guests also expressed their feelings at the occasion.

Those who made efforts for the successful completion of the programme included Al-Haaj Muhammad Riaz Ahmad Sadidi, Haji Shafique Ahmad, Haji Muhammad Muhstaq Rehmani, Hafiz Sajid Ali, Haji Masood Ahmad, Sheikh Muhammad Nadeem, Chaudhry Ali Ahmad, Muzumal Khalid, Al-Haaj Ghulam Mustafa Fakhri, Al-Haaj Muhammad Manzoor Ali Noori, Chaudhry Rasheed Ahmad, and others. President MQI Haveli Lakha Al-Haaj Muhammad Riaz Ahmad Sadidi thanked the guests upon their participation in the conference. The programme ended on 'Dua'.
