Concluding day of Doara Sahih Bukhari & Muslim

Concluding day of Doara Sahih Bukhari & Muslim

The Founder and Patron-in-Chief of Minhaj-ul-Quran International, Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri, has said that the Muslim Umma has fallen victim to evils like desire of the world, greed, caste differentiation and so-called customs and rites at the cost of its relationship with the person of the Holy Prophet (saw). It was a matter of misfortune that the Holy Prophet (saw) would weep for the well being of his Umma, instead, the Umma has turned a deaf ear to the Sunna and religion of the Prophet (saw).

He expressed these views while addressing the last session of Doara Bukhari & Muslim in Birmingham (United Kingdom). Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri deplored the fact that today the focus of all of our pursuits and attention has become the attainment of material things with little care for spiritual life. The Holy Prophet (saw) spent the whole of his life seeking Allah’s promise for intercession for the sake of his followers.

Speaking on the subject of intercession, faith, benefits of Hadith and its interpretation, Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri said that those who reject the fact that the Holy Prophet (saw) was not aware of the details of the Last Day are illiterate and victim of fallacy because the Umma came to know of the news of various stages of the Day of Resurrection through the Holy Prophet (saw), not through the Holy Qur’an. Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri said that champions of the self-styled Monotheism (Tawhid) would beg for the intercession of the Prophets on the Day of Judgment. Explaining the Hadiths on intercession, Shaykh-ul-Islam said it is the trumpet of ‘Muhammad (saw)’only, which will blow on the Last Hour. He asked the participants to raise today whatever slogan they wanted to raise on that day because it would be better for them.

Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri said that Imam Bukhari & Muslim were great lovers of the Holy Prophet (saw). If the Umma reconnected itself with the ideology and person of the Holy Prophet (saw) even today, there was no reason why it could not regain its lost glory. He said the love for the Holy Prophet (saw) would enliven the dead body of the Umma to steer it from the uncharted waters onto safe shores. Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri said that in the presence of the ideal conduct of their beloved Prophet (saw), the Muslim Umma did not need any other worldly weapon against anyone because weapons of love, high morals and enviable conduct would be instrumental in winning the hearts and minds of people.

Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri urged the participants to strengthen their relationship with the Last Prophet (saw), saying the reason for superiority of Madina throughout the world is because of the presence of the Holy Prophet (saw).

Those who addressed the last session included Sheikh Asad Saeed Sagerji and Sheikh Abdur Rehman of Syria, Sheikh Ahmad Dervaish of Egypt, Mufti Habeebullah of Bangladesh, Hafiz Nazir Ahmad Khan of Holland, Allama Noor Ahmad and Allama Sohail Saddique of Norway and many other scholars.

Paying rich tribute to Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri for his scholarly command on knowledge of Hadiths along with his ability to interpret them in accordance with the demands of the contemporary age, the speakers said the way Shaykh-ul-Islam undertook the interpretation of the Hadiths was hard to be found in the books on Hadiths. It appears as if he would delve deep down into the depths of ocean of knowledge and would come up with precious stuff to dole it out among the Umma. Undertaking long journey from across Europe for such scholarly sittings was not an exercise in futility. Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri’s lectures on Bukhari & Muslim have proved that he rightly deserves the title of Shaykh-ul-Islam. Doara Bukhari & Muslim was concluded on collective Dua for the well being and prosperity of Umma.
