Dallas: Grand Mawlid-un-Nabi (PBUH) Program

“Say: ‘(All this) is due to the bounty and mercy of Allah (bestowed upon you through raising Muhammad [blessings and peace be upon him] as the exalted Messenger). So the Muslims should rejoice over it. This is far better than (all that affluence and wealth) that they amass.”(Al-Yunus, 10:58)

The Grand Mawlid-un-Nabi was celebrated with religious fervor and zeal at Minhaj-ul-Quran Community Center in the presence of several Shayukh and scholars of the Dallas Fort Worth Area and with the eminent guest naat reciter, Syed Sabeehuddin Rahmani from Pakistan. An impressive attendance was observed at the program. Extra spacing was created in the prayer halls to watch the program live from the terminals.

The program commenced with a melodious recitation from Ibrahim Abdul Latif, the imam of the masjid. This was followed by heart-touching supplications and nasheed by Brother Mushtaq Hussain. All the attendees were captivated by the harmonious nasheeds of guest naat reciter, Syed Sabeehuddin Rahmani. All the guest scholars, included Imam Asil Khan, Imam Zia Sheikh, and Shaykh al-Hasan Muhammadi, and Shaykh Arsalan, expressed their gratitude and salutations on the blessed birth of the Holy Prophet (blessings and peace be upon him).

The program concluded with salaam by the guest naat reciter. Guests whole-heartedly left for home with elevated spirits.

During this Grand Mawlid, several awards were also presented to the youth winners of perfect attendance for the last 10 days of Mawlid and to the winners of the Green Dome art competition. Free CDs and books for sale by Shaykh-ul-Islam were available for all attendees, and gifts were all distributed to the eminent scholars.
