Pakistan being sandwiched between external and internal problems: Dr Raheeq Ahmad Abbasi

Secretary General of Minhaj-ul-Quran International, Dr Raheeq Ahmad Abbasi, has said that the branding of Pakistan as hub of terrorism and safe haven of terrorists by the American intelligence agencies is part of obnoxious conspiracy against the country. But it is unfortunate that powers that be and politicians are busy fighting over personal interests rather than paying any heed to these conspiracies against Pakistan. He said it was high time that the whole nation got united to foil the nefarious designs of enemies of Pakistan.

He expressed these views while talking to a delegation of Pakistan Awami Tehreek, Islamabad, which called on him yesterday in his office in Model Town. He said Pakistan was sandwiched between external and internal challenges, which were eating into the vitals of the country. On the one hand, preparations were underway to brand Pakistan as a terrorist state. Whereas on the other hand, India was all set to render Pakistan barren by occupying her water reservoirs. Unemployment, price hike, growing poverty, deteriorating law and order problem, power and energy crises were undermining Pakistan internally. It is the responsibility of national leadership to unite all people and lead them to a bright future but they were unequal to the tasks due to their personal disputes. As a result there was despondency in the people. He said that it is dire need of the hour that leaders got their heads together in an attempt to work out a consensus strategy to steer the country out of these raging fires.
