Message of peace is manifest from the sacrifice of Hazrat Imam Hussain (R.A): Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri
Muslim Umma is suffering from the worst reign of oppression, terror and cruelty.
Their blood is being spilled like water and human values are being degraded. Yazids
of the present times are chronicling new sordid chapters in the history of mankind.
In these trying circumstances, the Muslim Umma would have to move forward with wisdom,
courage and patience. The epoch of Karbla proves that only the forces of truth carry
the day in the end.
These views were expressed by Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri in his telephonic speech
from Canada at the meeting of Central Working Council of MQI and PAT. Sahibzada
Miskin Faiz-ur-Rehman Durrani, central Amir-e-Tehreek, Rana Farooq Mahmood, Sheikh
Zahid Fayyaz, Ahmad Nawaz Anjum, Farhat Hussain Shah and other leaders were also
present on the occasion.
Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri urged Ulama to play their due role for the promotion
of peace, moderation and tolerance in the society, which has, otherwise, been torn
apart by unending spate of terrorism and extremism. Islam is a religion of peace.
Message of peace, harmony and safety is inherent in the sacrifice and Jihad of Hazrat
Imam Hussain (R.A).
Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri termed the ongoing political instability dangerous
for the country in the wake of her fight against terrorism in the tribal areas.
He drew attention of all concerned to the conspiracy of destabilizing Pakistan.
He said that political forces needed to show restraint and keep national interests
ahead of personal ones. "There is a need to start the process of real reconciliation
in the country for a new beginning," he opined. He warned that if we did not rise
to the challenge and act wisely, the anti-Pakistan forces wanted to reduce our dear
homeland to the status of Nepal, Bhutan, Somalia and Afghanistan.
Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri said that the country could ill-afford new crises.
There is a need to map out a strategy to steer her clear of the unchartered waters
in which it got stuck up due to the failure of leadership. He said that a heavy
responsibility rested on the shoulders of the government to take initiative and
spearhead the campaign to take everyone on board for the sake of national unity.
He also blasted the suicide bombing at the Peshawar Press Club and prayed for those
who got martyred there.
