Senior advisor on Muslim communities DCLG (British), Visited MUL and Central Secretariat of MQI
Senior Advisor on Muslim Communities, Race, Cohesion and Faiths Directorate British Government, Mr. Maqsood Ahmad Visited Minhaj University Lahore and Central Secretariat of Minhaj-ul-Quran International on 31st December, 2009. Director Foreign Affairs Mr. Muhammad Mustafa (GM Malik) warmly welcomed him at Central Secretariat MQI and briefed him about the current organizational structure and activities of Minhaj-ul-Quran International. During his visit to the Central Secretariat, he also called on Naib Ameer-e-Tehreek Brig (r ) Iqbal Ahmed and Director Finance Mr. Javed Iqbal Qadri and exchanged views on various current projects of MQI.
Afterwards, the distinguished guest accompanied by Director Foreign Affairs Mr Muhammad Mustafa (GM Malik) visited Minhaj University Lahore, Minhaj College for Women, Minhaj Model School for Boys and Tehfeez-ul-Quran Institure situated at Township Lahore. He also discussed matters of national and international significance with the students. While visiting Minhaj University Lahore, he held meeting with the Vice Chancellor MUL Dr. Ali Muhammad and Registrar MUL Col (R) Muhammad Ahmad, and also visited different departments of the University.
Mr. Maqsood Ahmed also went to the tomb of Sayyidina Tahir Ala-ud-Din al-Qadri al-Gillani, the spiritual patron of Minhaj-ul-Quran International and invoked salutations on this great saint of the Muslim Ummah.
