Minorities enjoy complete constitutional independence in Pakistan: Sohail Ahmad Raza

The minorities living in Pakistan enjoy complete freedom and the Constitution of Pakistan clearly enshrines provisions for the protection of their rights. Evacuee Trust Board, Government of Pakistan, is playing its due role in that regard. Sohail Ahmad Raza, Director of MQI's Interfaith Relations, expressed these views during his visit of Nankana sahib on the invitation of Sardar Ram Singh, Sardar Jishal Singh and Sardar Ranjeet Singh. He said that he came to felicitate Sardar Sham Singh on his election as president of Gurdwara Bhandick Committee. Paying his tribute to Sayyid Asif Hashmi, chairman of Evacuee Trust Board, he said that Sayyid Asif Hashmi played major role in meeting the long-standing demand of Sikh community regarding transfer of matters to Bhandick Committee. He also congratulated the other members as well, hoping that the committee would play fundamental role in ensuring the protection of fundamental rights of Sikh community living in Pakistan.
