Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri is delivering his lecture at the International Sirah Conference in Amman, Jordan, on the subject: Equal Status of Quran and Sunnah in their Mandatory Status and Authoritativeness. The conference is being attended by world renowned scholars including Shaykh Abdullah bin Baya`a, Shaykh Ali Jumma (Egypt), Shaykh Muhammad bin al-Hafiz (Yemen), Mufti Taqi Usmani, Shaykh Habib Ali Jifri, Shaykh Muhammad al-Yaqoubi and many others.
In the name of Allah ﷻ a Halqa-e-Durood was organised on Wednesday on the 24th August 2016 at the residence of Sister Sidra Farooq (MWL Huddersfield President). 15 Sisters and 6 children (members and non-members) from the local community attended this blessed Mehfil enthusiastically. The very spiritual gathering was held between 1-3pm. The mehfil began by the Sisters reciting Surah Yaseen. The main focus of this mehfil was the recitation of Durood Tanjeena, which was recited 1100 times in 2 hours. Durood was then recited in the Minhaj way for 20 minutes.
Addressing a press conference in London, PAT Chairman Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has said that the hands of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif are bloodied with the killings of innocent people in Model Town. He said that the Prime Minister is directly involved in the Model Town carnage, asking with what face will he plead the case of the Kashmiris at the UN? He said that if the country did not earn a bad name with the Panama leaks, how will the demand for justice in the Model Town case bring it into disrepute? He clarified that we are knocking on the doors of the international institutions for justice against the government of Nawaz Sharif, not the state of Pakistan.
Minhaj-ul-Quran (Ashton), along with the community of Ashton-Under-Lyne and in association with Minhaj Welfare Foundation (MWF), organised a charity fundraising program to raise awareness and provide clean water for the deprived and neglected community of Tharparkar (Sindh, Pakistan). To raise much needed funds to build clean water facilities for communities affected by the severe drought, which has taken the lives of hundreds of children and has left many thousands displaced since 2014.
Minhaj-ul-Quran International, Bahrain Chapter, organised Shahadat Imam-e-Hussain (R.A.) Conference on 10th of Moharram to mark the occasion of the Great Shahadat of Imam Hussain (A.S.) and his companions. The program was scheduled in two sessions. Quran Khawani (Receitation of Holy Quran) was held in first session where the attendees recited Holy Quran for Isaal-e-Sawab to the Great Martyrs. Second session after the recitation included Manqabat for Imam Hussain (A.S.) and Martyrs of Karbala, and lecture of Shaykh ul Islam.
