Attending the three-day International Sirah Conference in Jordan, Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has said that the religious scholars, jurists and Muftis can play an important role to bridge the gap in the Muslim world. He said that the fires of sectarianism and hatred are being fanned under a political strategy with an objective to drive more wedges. He said that conspiracy is afoot to undermine the Islamic world politically, economically and military power of the Islamic countries.
In the name of Allah ﷻ a Halqa-e-Durood was organised on Wednesday on the 24th August 2016 at the residence of Sister Sidra Farooq (MWL Huddersfield President). 15 Sisters and 6 children (members and non-members) from the local community attended this blessed Mehfil enthusiastically. The very spiritual gathering was held between 1-3pm. The mehfil began by the Sisters reciting Surah Yaseen. The main focus of this mehfil was the recitation of Durood Tanjeena, which was recited 1100 times in 2 hours. Durood was then recited in the Minhaj way for 20 minutes.
PTI Chairman Imran Khan telephoned Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri last night and invited him to attend the sit-in scheduled for November 2 in Islamabad. Accepting the invitation, Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri said that we stand by Imran Khan and PTI in the movement for elimination of corruption. He said that Imran Khan offered his apologies on the controversial statements to which he said that there was no need to be sorry, adding that it was time to talk about the future.
Minhaj-ul-Quran (Ashton), along with the community of Ashton-Under-Lyne and in association with Minhaj Welfare Foundation (MWF), organised a charity fundraising program to raise awareness and provide clean water for the deprived and neglected community of Tharparkar (Sindh, Pakistan). To raise much needed funds to build clean water facilities for communities affected by the severe drought, which has taken the lives of hundreds of children and has left many thousands displaced since 2014.
PAT Chairman Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri held a meeting with H.E. King Abdullah II of Jordan on the occasion of the International Sirah Conference. King Abdullah appreciated Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri for his contributions to peace building and scholarly work with regard to elimination of terrorism and extremism. He said that he studied the Fatwa against terrorism and suicide bombing and it was a great service of Islam and humanity.
