Minhaj University Lahore and Punjab Higher Education Department organized a two-day international conference on ‘Religious Pluralism and World Peace’, which was attended by scholars of global repute. Addressing the conference, the scholars said that no religion allows or sanctions terrorism. They said that if injunctions of a religion are followed in letter and spirit, no place will be left for terrorism and extremism in the world.
On the 14th August 2017 Pakistan Independence celebrations were held at the Minhaj ul Quran Center by Alum Rock Birmingham Women League. This program was hosted by Sister Rabia Khanam (President of MWL Alum Rock Birmingham) who invited Sister Shazia Parveen MWL (General Secretary of Alum Rock Birmingham) for the recitation from the Holy Quran.
A seminar on the thought of Iqbal was organized under the banner of PAT to pay tributes to the poet of East Allama Muhammad Iqbal on his 140th birth anniversary. Those who spoke on the occasion were PAT Secretary General Khurram Nawaz Gandapur, Jamaat-e-Islami leader Dr Farid Ahmad Piracha, Iqbal’s grandson Waleed Iqbal, Dr Tahir Hameed Tanoli, Sajid Mahmood Bhatti, and Hafiz Ghulam Farid.
Once again after October 2016 Rohingya is facing a massacre, but this time at a far greater scale from the Myanmar state. According to UN’s special rapporteur nearly 90,000 Rohingyans have already escaped to Bangladesh. Thousands of more are making their way across the Naf river in extremely dangerous conditions arriving at the borders of Bangladesh completely exhausted and traumatised; having not eaten for days and surviving on rain or ground water.
By the Grace of Almighty Allah (SWT) and His Beloved Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), Minhaj-ul-Quran Youth League (The Hague) organized a course on the Tafseer of the Holy Quran. The interpretation of 9 Surahs was completed in 4 weeks. Since the target audience were youth brothers and sisters, the course was given in Dutch language.
