Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has greeted the Muslims around the globe on the advent of the holy month of Rabi-ul-Awwal. In his message on the occasion, he said that the onset of the blessed month brings with it a message of peace, happiness and tranquility. He said that our individual happiness was no match to the collective happiness symbolized by the holy month.
On the 14th August 2017 Pakistan Independence celebrations were held at the Minhaj ul Quran Center by Alum Rock Birmingham Women League. This program was hosted by Sister Rabia Khanam (President of MWL Alum Rock Birmingham) who invited Sister Shazia Parveen MWL (General Secretary of Alum Rock Birmingham) for the recitation from the Holy Quran.
A seminar on the thought of Iqbal was organized under the banner of PAT to pay tributes to the poet of East Allama Muhammad Iqbal on his 140th birth anniversary. Once again after October 2016 Rohingya is facing a massacre, but this time at a far greater scale from the Myanmar state. According to UN’s special rapporteur nearly 90,000 Rohingyans have already escaped to Bangladesh. Thousands of more are making their way across the Naf river in extremely dangerous conditions arriving at the borders of Bangladesh completely exhausted and traumatised; having not eaten for days and surviving on rain or ground water.
