German TV Channel ZDF organizes a Live Program for flood affected in Pakistan

Hilfe für Pakistan (Help for Pakistan) was the Motto of this Program, which was organized and live transmitted on German TV 26.08.2010 at 20:15 Hours. The program was conducted by Peter Frey (Chief editor) and Mr. Markus Lanz. From the Pakistani community Minhaj-ul-Quran International Berlin was represented through Mr. Faiz Ahmed (President), Mr. Nadeem Shah (Sr. Vice President), Mr. Mohammad Irshad (General Secretary), Mrs. Naheed Imran (representing Minhaj Women League).
MQI’s volunteers leave for flood affected areas

After the cancellation of Itikaf 2010 which has been held for last 20 years under the banner of Minhaj-ul-Quran International, hundreds of people, who were to attend the Itikaf City, left for the flood affected areas on the special instructions of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri. These volunteers took part in a one-day training camps held in Lahore, Faisalabad, Karachi, Multan, Rawalpindi and Abotabad, and left for the flood hit areas to serve the flood affectees.

In the wake of unprecedented floods that have wreaked havoc across Pakistan besides rendering 20 million people homeless and causing damages of billions of dollars, Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has declared to cancel Itikaf 2010. The Itikaf has been held annually for last 20 years under the banner of Minhaj-ul-Quran International, which is attended by thousands of people.

Minhaj Welfare Foundation organizes children walk

Hundreds of children took part in the ‘Children Relief Walk’ under the Minhaj Welfare Federation from Assembly Hall to Shuhada Mosque in order to show solidarity with the flood stricken children and collect funds for their rescue and rehabilitation today. After the walk, these children visited different markets and collected funds. They were carrying different placards and banners with slogans inscribed on them. These children appealed to 1.5 billion people of Pakistan to donate at least Rs. 100 and thus 15 billion rupees can be collected in this way.
Minhaj Welfare Foundation establishes medical camp in Swat & Charsadda

The rescue and relief operations of Minhaj Welfare Foundation continue unabated in the flood affected areas of Pakistan. The Foundation has dispatched more relief goods to the affected areas. One month ration package was distributed among the 500 families of Mangora under the supervision of Mian Iftikhar Ahmad, the Coordinator of MWF.

Minhaj Welfare Foundation has dispatched seven more truckloads of relief goods of worth Rs. 5.5 million to Noshahra and the Southern Punjab. Three trucks from Lahore, one from Wazirabad and rest of the three from Pakpattan have been sent to the flood hit areas.

MYL UK Opens Head Office

Hafiz Ali Hassan, a student of Minhaj Model School Gulfishan Colony Faisalabad, secured second position in the Matriculation examination held under the Faisalabad Board. He got 913 marks in General Group under roll no 225677. Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri gifted him cash money of Rs. 50,000. He also felicitated parents, teachers of the student, Minhaj Education Society Director Muhammad Shahif Latif and the entire team of MES over this achievement.

The Minhaj Welfare Foundation continue unabated in the flood hit areas. Ten more relief and rescue operations of trucks of relief goods have been rushed to Noshahra. Scholar Hafiz Tariq Ali reaches Berlin

MQI Leaders Spend Independence Day with the Flood Affectees

The central leaders of Minhaj-ul-Quran International, who had reached Nowshera on August 13, spent the Independence Day with the flood affected people. When the caravan of Minhaj Welfare Foundation reached the Minhaj Tent Settlement in Noshehra, people expressed their extreme happiness and received the MQI’s delegation with zeal and zest. The Tent Settlement established by MWF houses over 1000 people where they are being provided with every necessary item of daily use.

Minhaj Women League (France) celebrates Independence Day

Sister Naela Majeed delivered a speech on the sacrifices rendered by people to win the war of independence and make Pakistan emerge on the world map. She said that the case for a separate homeland for the Muslims was fought along constitutional lines through political process. This aspect, she said, needs to be highlighted to the international community for better understanding of the country’s history and background.
Shaykh-ul-Islam inaugurates anti-terror mobile library

Minhaj-ul-Quran UK launched an anti terrorism Bus yesterday at Warwick University during first anti terrorism summer camp 2010. Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri, the founding leader and patron-in-chief of Minhaj-ul-Quran International, inaugurated the new mobile library, which contains anti-terror literature, DVDs, CDs and other written material about the concept of Jihad in Islam. The aim of mobile library is to approach the students of UK colleges and universities and give them access to the authentic material to clarify their apprehensions about Shariah, Jihad, democracy and human rights.
Interfaith prayer for peace held

The National Commission for Inter-Religious Dialogue and Ecumenism (NCIDE) in collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Minority Affairs conducted an “Interfaith Prayer” for Peace in Pakistan on Saturday, 7 August 2010. The commission prepared a documentary on the recent crisis in the country where floods, hunger, misery, political and ethnic violence and negligence are taking their toll on the people. The first candle for peace was lit after the documentary.

version of democracy currently in operation in Pakistan represented the opposite.
