Annual Mawlid Conference 2012 held in Australia

Hundreds of the Muslims visited the Redgum Function Centre, Sydney, Australia on Friday, (17th of February 2012) for a prestigious celebration conference to mark the birth anniversary of the Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w.). The Birthday is celebrated by millions of Muslims around the world through recitation of Naat and programs of Mawlid-un-Nabi (s.a.w.).

The Minhaj-ul-Quran International Australia was among the leading ones to celebrate the 61st birthday of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri in Sydney (Australia). Sahibzada Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, President of MQI’s Federal Council, and Allama Ramzan Qadri were the chief guests at the ceremony.
Calm voice in sea of extremism

IT takes a supremely brave individual to look into the eyes of Muslim extremists and tell them they are un-Islamic and unbelievers. Dr Qadri is one man who can reach across that most difficult of divides - the one that exists between the Muslims and modern Western society. He is a slight, immaculately-groomed individual and at first he spoke softly so the audience was straining to hear his words as he explained that true Islam does not accept brutality, extremism, militancy, killing and massacre. There were murmurs of approval as he described Australia as "the best society, the best community on this planet, practising multifaith, multiculturalism and diversity in its true sense and reality".
MQI Victoria holds ‘Zikr-e-Hussain (RA)’ Conference

Minhaj-ul-Quran International (Victoria chapter) held the Zikr-e-Hussain (RA) conference on 3rd December 2011. The purpose of this spiritual gathering was to pay tributes to the great sacrifice of the grandson of Holly Prophet (SAW), Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA). The intention was to promote the spirit of association and love with Allah Almighty and his beloved Prophet Muhammad (SAW) and his kindred.

Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri delivered a special lecture at the Peace Conference Sydney on Saturday 16th July 2011. The conference was organized by Minhaj-ul-Quran International Australia and was attended by hundreds of people coming from various ethnical backgrounds and different parts of Australia including Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, and other regional cities as well as from Fiji and New Zealand. The conference was attended by Barbara Perry, Shadow Minister of NSW for Family and Community Services and the Hon. Shaoquett Moselmane, the member of the NSW Legislative Council.

Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri visited New South Wales (NSW) Parliament House on Monday 11th July 2011 and delivered a special lecture and had a discussion with several members of the parliament on the issues of terrorism and integration. He was invited by the member of the NSW Legislative Council, the Hon. Shaoquett Moselmane MLC. The audience at the lecture comprised members of the NSW Legislative Council, ministers, politicians, policy makers, senior scholars and religious leaders, etc.
