Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri, the founding leader and patron-in-chief of Minhaj-ul-Quran International, offered his Friday prayers in the central Mosque Minhaj-ul-Quran in Model Town. After the prayers, he briefly spoke to the members and associates of MQI, office bearers and the hundreds of the faithful who gathered there for prayer.
Mrs. Farah Naz, President of Minhaj-ul-Quran Women League, attended a two-day 25th annual International Quran Conference held in Tehran, capital of Islamic Republic of Iran. The Conference was attended by women research scholars from Lebanon, Tunisia, Iraq, Azerbaijan, Oman, Iran and Pakistan who are engaged in conducting research on the Holy Quran. The Conference has two-pronged objective; to promote efforts for understanding of the Holy Quran at individual and collective levels and to encourage the women research scholars by acknowledging their services and contributions.
Dr Mohammad Tahir-ul-Qadri arrived in Lahore, Pakistan, on Monday morning. He was received by a throng of supporters and activists at Allama Iqbal International Airport. The PAT chief arrived at Allama Iqbal International Airport in Lahore at 8:00 am where the party’s Lahore chapter gave a rousing reception to him. The PAT chief had rejected the Punjab policy security who offered eight Elite Force vehicles to guard Dr Qadri, so his party workers escorted him under high security to his residence in Model Town.
On the special instructions of Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri, the distribution of ration among the needy and underprivileged sections of society under Help Feed Project of Minhaj Welfare Foundation (MWF) continues throughout the country. One such ceremony of ration distribution took place at the central secretariat of PAT during the holy month of Ramazan in which 500 families were given Ramazan package.
