Indian politicians call on Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri

A delegation of leading political parties BJP (MP & MLA) and Indian National Congress (MP & MLA) held a meeting with Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri in a local hotel in Kutch City of Gujrat, India. They exchanged the matters of mutual interest. Talking to the delegation, Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri emphasized the need of finding a negotiated settlement of all outstanding issues between India and Pakistan. He said that it was important for both countries to establish peace and bring about normalization in their bilateral relations. He said that the SAARC region in general and the people of India and Pakistan in particular suffered from poverty and unemployment and there was an urgent need to take steps for their welfare.

Addressing millions of people in a Milad Conference in ‘Kutch’ city of Gujrat organized under the banner of Minhaj-ul-Quran International India, Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has said that Islam is a religion of peace and reconciliation. He said that those who are burning in the fires of extremism and terrorism have not understood the spirit of Islamic teachings.

Addressing the millions of people, which was the biggest gathering in the history of Hyderabad City of India, Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has said that no religion respects the humanity more than Islam. The Muslims should strengthen their bond with the Holy Prophet (PBUH) for their success and welfare not only in this world but also in the world hereafter. He said that the solution to our contemporary challenges lies in following the life and Sunna of the Holy Prophet (PBUH).

Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has said that Allah Almighty has made the obedience of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) as obligatory as His own obedience in absolute terms. He said that remembrance of the Prophet (PBUH) cannot be separated from the remembrance of Allah Almighty and this is the basis of ‘Iman’. He asked the Muslims to adopt the ‘Sunna’ of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) in their lives.
People listen to Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri in their hundreds of thousands

Flood of people came to listen to Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri in Karjan city of state of Indian Gujrat. When Shaykh-ul-Islam reached the main stage despite grave threats to his life, hundreds of thousands people gave him a standing ovation and welcomed him amid chants and slogans. The State Government of Gujrat gave him a protocol of a state guest and detailed a Z plus security for him. 300 police commandos were posted for the security of the entire venue, whereas entry to the place of gathering was also marked by stringent security measures.
Historic Fatwa launched in India

On February 22, 2012, Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri’s scholarly masterpiece, which has won global acclaim, titled as “Fatwa on Terrorism and Suicide Bombing” was launched in Islamic Cultural Centre India under the aegis of Minhaj-ul-Quran International (India chapter).
The auditorium was full to its capacity before the arrival of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri. The participants gave Shaykh-ul-Islam a standing ovation on his entry into the main hall. The chants of welcome and other slogans reverberated through the air and made the atmosphere electric. It was a spectacular scene when Shaykh-ul-Islam appeared on the main stage. The people’s faces were radiating with happiness and excitement at the sight of a great scholar of his times.

Addressing the participants, Shaykh-ul-Islam said that the historic Minar-e-Pakistan must be in awe of the devotees of the Holy Prophet (pbuh) who held their ground despite severe cold and torrential rain in expression of their love and respect of their beloved Prophet (pbuh). He said that it was the miracle of the Holy Prophet (pbuh) that the such a large number of people celebrated his birth anniversary under the open sky and let the world know that love of the Holy Prophet (pbuh) was their greatest asset and they were ready to offer any sacrifice for this.

Hundreds of ladies from every walk of life organized a candlelight walk here on the 25th of January 2012 in connection with Rabi-ul-Awwal celebrations, a month of happiness and blessings in which Holy Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him) was born. The walk organized by Minhaj-ul-Quran Women League NA-48 and 49 started from Melody Chowk and culminated at National Press Club Islamabad.

Milad March in Lahore started from Nasir Bagh and concluded on Data Darbar. Such a large participation of people in the March was demonstration of their extreme love for the Holy Prophet (SAW). The entire venue from Nasir Bagh to Data Darbar was decorated with welcoming banners, flags and multi-colour balloons. The people, on the way, kept on offering greetings and salutations on the Holy Prophet (S.A.W). Men were walking on one side of the road, while on the other side were women and children.

Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has felicitated the Muslims around the world on the advent of the holy month of Rabi-ul-Awwal. He said in his message that the Rabi-ul-Awwal is a holy month and the Muslims must seek Allah’s blessings in this month by strengthening their relationship with the Holy Prophet (S.A.W). He said that the love for the beloved Prophet (S.A.W) can provide anchor against the forces of radicalism and terrorism. He said that Islam stands for peace, harmony and welfare of humanity. “We can find solution to the diverse problems facing the modern civilization by taking a leaf from the life of the Holy Prophet (S.A.W),” he said.

Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has said that the conduct of elections to be held either now or later, under the incumbent electoral system, will be a joke with the nation. He said that it was the outcome of the present flawed system that the institutions had been pitted against one another. The establishment of a national government composed of honest and capable people with character for at least three years was the only way out of the complex problems the country was caught up in, he added.
PAT protests against energy shortage

Hundreds of people participated in a rally held under the banner of Pakistan Awami Tehreek Lahore today. The rally was organized to protest against the government’s practice of hiking gas and power prices as well as worst energy shortages in the country. It started from Garhi Shahu and concluded at Lahore Press Club. The demonstration was led by Irshad Ahmad Tahir and PAT Lahore President Afzal Gujjar.

Training Workshop Under WAAG Pakistan Branch

Shaykh-ul-Islam said that he was urging people to rise against electoral system out of his national and religious duty and not at the behest of someone else. He said that the current system had snatched people’s livelihood, their sovereignty, their integrity and paralysed them. He categorically stated that real change was not possible through current electoral system. He said that the system was geared towards protecting the interests of the ruling elite with nothing to offer to the poor masses. He said that the system had kept 180 million people shackled.
