Community workers attend convention

FOREMOST Islamic authority Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri joined members and community workers at the Minhaj-ul-Quran International centre on Tuesday 19th August, 2008. The workers convention recognised the achievements of centre workers and the community. The event attended by senior member of Minhaj-ul-Quran International organisation included: Shaykh Muhammad Sadiq al-Qureshi of London, Shaykh Hasan Muhiyy Uddin al-Qadri - President Supreme Council MQI Pakistan.

Muslim Youth League UK from Nelson hosted an evening with Fazeelat As-Shaykh Muhammad Saeed As-Sagharji , As-Shaykh Abdur Rahman al-Hamaami and Sayyid Muadh An-Nass on Wednesday 27th August, 2008 in Jamia Masjid Minhaj-ul-Qur’an, Nelson, UK. Brothers and sisters from the entire region of Pendle, Burnley, Colne and Nelson attended the programme with some guests from Oldham and Manchester.
Minhaj Welfare Foundation launches ‘Aahgosh’

Website of Minhaj-ul-Quran Publications inaugurated

On August 9, 2008, a new website of Minhaj-ul-Quran Publications was launched, which contains the books and speeches of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri for online purchase. In addition to the facility of credit card for online purchase, the Pakistani buyers have also been facilitated through provision of money order, bank account and VP parcel with the help of which the buyers can buy books and speeches at their homes.
MYL UK National Youth Council (Sisters) Meeting

The MYL UK National Youth Council (Sisters) first quarterly meeting was chaired by the President of MYL UK (Sisters) Tanzeem Begum at Aston University. Delegates and representatives of MYL UK attended the meeting from Glasgow, Manchester, Bradford, Halifax, Sheffield, Birmingham, Oldham, Walsall and Rochdale. In total 41 sisters were present on the day. President MYL UK (Sisters) welcomed everybody to the meeting and congratulated them for showing their commitment by attending the meeting. Following this, Tasmia Younas did Tilawat and then Tabassum recited a Naat.
Muslims of Europe Conference

Unfortunately the true picture of Islam has not been shown to the world although many efforts have been made by Islamic Organizations as well as Muslim individuals in many parts of Europe. The British Foreign and Commonwealth office organized a 2 day conference on the 1st & 2nd of July 2006 in Istanbul the capital of Turkey.

On June 2, 2008, a new website of Minhaj Education Society was launched. This website contains the details of various educational projects being undertaken by Minhaj-ul-Quran International in its efforts to equip the country with light of knowledge. The pictorial introduction of mass educational centres holds a lot of interest for the users on the homepage. Links of the background of mass educational centres, aims and objectives, targets, educational policy, administrative structure, central departments, syllabus designing, syllabi, education board and other day-to-day activities have been given on the main page.
Irfan-ul-Quran Center : Workshop for Stability Training

Irfan-ul-Quran Center is an educational & training center for women. Here, women are educated on both spiritual & moral basis and they are given awareness about the knowledge of Sharia. They are also taught Tajweed, Quran, Hadith, Fiqh & Arabic Grammar as well. To make them practical, training workshops are arranged, once is a week, in the conference Hall at the central secretariat.

Minhaj-ul-Quran Women League organized a grand reception on April 25 in order to celebrate the successful holding of the Milad Festival in the Race Course Park under its banner. This programme was arranged in the conference hall of the Central Secretariat. The daughter of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri, Mrs Qura tul Ain Fatima, presided over the moot, while naib Nazim-e-Ala of Minhaj-ul-Quran International Sheikh Zahid Fayyaz, Director Foreign Affairs G.M. Malik, Amir-e-Tehreek Punjab Ahmad Nawaz Anjum and Director FMRi Dr Ali Akbar Qadri were the guests of honour at the occasion.
Milad Festival under Minhaj-ul-Quran Women League concludes

Milad Festival organized under aegis of Minhaj-ul-Quran Women League came to an end. The concluding ceremony was held in the crowds of families on the last day on April 20, 2008 at midnight in the Race Course Park. Prior to this, hundreds of people continued to flock the venue on the last day along with their families including prominent people from different walks of life.
Children's Mahfil-e-Naat under Minhaj Women League

This programme was in connection with the ongoing Milad celebrations under Minhaj-ul-Quran International. The daughters of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri, Mrs Qurat ul Ain Fatima and Ms Qurat ul Ain Ayesha co-chaired the programme, whereas grand daughter of Shaykh-ul-Islam Durra-tuz-Zahara was the guest of honour at the occasion.
Milad Festival under Minhaj-ul-Quran Women League

Milad Festival continued for the second day. The event is being organized under aegis of Minhaj-ul-Quran Women League at the Race Course Park, Lahore. The wife of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri, Begum Riffat Jabeen Qadri, along with her daughters inaugurated the proceedings of the Milad Festival. They visited various stalls. The central leaders of Minhaj-ul-Quran Women also accompanied them.

This ceremony was arranged in connection with the ongoing celebrations marking the birth anniversary of the holy Prophet (saw). A vast and well-decorated venue was set up in the ground facing the Central Secretariat.

Minhaj-ul-Quran International Held the 23rd Mawlid Conference on the 11th of Rabi-ul-Awwal at Iqbal Stadium Minar-e-Pakistan. The programme started at 8'o clock but the people from all the corners of the country and abroad had already arrived before evening prayer. They say, a major part of the space arranged for the people has already been filled till 7'o clock. Besides that thousands of caravan from four provinces of the country have been arriving to celebrate the birth of their beloved and dearest Prophet (SAW) in a magnificent and novel way. Their enthusiasm display how much love they enjoy for Him.
Merry Christmas ceremony by the Muslim Christian Dialogue Forum of MQI

An exiting and exhilarating Merry Christmas ceremony was held at Central Secretariat of Minhaj-ul-Quran International Lahore today on 27 Dec,2006. The Principal Officer American Consulate Mr. Bryan. D. Hunt graced the occasion as the special guest while Bishop of Multan, Dr Andrew Francis and Bishop of Faisalabad Joseph Coutts were the Chief Guests. Sahibzada Hussain Mohy ud Din Qadri member Supreme Council MQI presided over the ceremony. Fathers, Pastors and a large number of Christian brothers also attended the ceremony. The ceremony was organized by the Muslim Christian Dialogue Forum of the MQI.

British treasury secretary meets Shaykh-ul-Islam

British Treasury Secretary MP Stephen Timms met with Shaykh-ul-Islam in Barking, East London on Friday. Islam, current affairs and politics was on the agenda.When Treasury Secretary Mr Timms spoke to Shaykh-ul-Islam about having taken a step back from the political scene in Pakistan to which Dr Qadri replied that he had lost interest in political affairs in Pakistan due to corruption within the government and judiciary system.
