MWL Organises 'Ihya-e-Islam awr Khanwada-e-Rasool ka Kirdar' Conference

The proceedings of the Conference formally went underway with recitation from the Holy Quran by Sadaf Iqbal from Minhaj-ul- Qur’an Women League followed by special salutations invoked on the Holy Prophet PBUH. Miss Sumaira Rafaqat Advocate (Secretary General MWL) presented the welcoming address and talked about the objectives of this conference. Introducing the topic to the participants, she held that the exalted Imam (R.A) embraced martyrdom to safeguard the identity of Islam and denounce the ugly face of extremism, bigotry, terrorism, massacre and violation of human rights collectively known as yazidiat.
Minhaj-ul-Quran Women League organizes Book Exhibition in Aiwan-e-Iqbal Lahore

The Minhaj-ul-Quran Women League (MWL) organized a grand exhibition of hundreds of books authored by Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri, in Aiwan-e-Iqbal Lahore on 25 November, 2010. This is the first of the series of exhibitions MWL has planned to organize in connection with their country-wide campaign “Aao Quaid ki Fikr Aam Krain” to promote the MQI ideology and take the message of Shaykh-ul-Islam to the people. MWL arranged such exhibitions last year as well in Lahore and Islamabad.

MWL distributes Eid Gifts and food among orphans and the destitute women

This year also, the Central Women League spent the whole Eid day on 17 November, 2010 with the destitute women and children staying at Dar-ul-Aman, Dar-ul-Shafqat and Aghosh.

MWF Faisalabad organizes a collective marriage ceremony for 25 couples

Minhaj Welfare Foundation carried out its 7th relief activity program in Swat. The main area of focus was establishing free medical camps and distributing blankets in Mangora, White Palace, Kalam, Ushoo, Band Qila and Matal Tan. Thousands of volunteers dispersed the mountainous, extremely cold area of Swat distributing relief aid to the thousands of people waiting in anticipation for help. With the help of the Army and the use of the helicopter, volunteers of MWF were able to allocate aid to more and more people.

A marriage ceremony was held in Minhaj Tent Settlement in Akora Khattak under the banner of Minhaj Welfare Foundation on October 11, 2010. The venue was decorated very beautifully. Director of MWF Sayyid Iftikhar Shah Bokhari, provincial Amir Mushtaq sahib, Tariq Naqshbandi, Khawaja Muhammad Ashraf, Engineer Afzal Ghous, Muhammad Tariq, Sayyid Altaf Hussain Shah, Asim Ameer Khan, and Khalid Durrani participated in the ceremony. The 500 guests including flood affectees of Charsadda and relatives of brides and grooms also attended the ceremony.
