Quaid Day Celebrations and Workers Convention held under MQI, Azad Kashmir

After a long period of waiting, the historic day of February 19, 2009, dawned with immense happiness in store for the workers of Minhaj-ul-Quran International, Azad Kashmir. A prestigious ceremony took place in Al-Umar Model Public School Muzaffarabad in connection with the birth anniversary of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri in which hundreds of members and leaders of MQI participated. A glowing tribute was paid to a great leader of Islamic world, Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri over his national and international contributions for the cause of Islam. Birthday cake was cut and the ceremony ended on Dua. MQI leaders of Azad Kashmir felicitated one another over this auspicious day.

Workers Convention held under MQI, Azad Kashmir

February 22, 2009 will be chronicled in the golden words in the history of MQI Muzzarabad. Workers Convention of MQI members was held in which more than two hundred people belonging to all forums participated. Amir-e-Tehreek Azad Kashmir Pir Syed Ibrar Sarwar Shah presided over the Convention. Three sittings took place. In the first sitting, the local leaders delivered speeches and members introduced themselves. Dr Tanvir Azam Sandhu, Abdul Qadir Qadri, Qamar Javed Malik and Haji Mahboob threw light on different organizational matters in the second sitting. Divisional patron Women League, Prof Sarwat Iqbal, Abdul Hameed Chishti presented vote of thanks. In the third sitting, Qamar Javed Malik briefed the local office bearers about their responsibilities. After the conclusion of Convention, Amir-e-Kashmir hosted a luncheon in the honour of the participants.
