Minhaj-ul-Quran Ulama Council holds Ulama & Mashaykh Convention

Minhaj-ul-Quran Ulama Council organized Ulama & Mashaykh Convention in Shad Bagh Lahore yesterday, which was presided over by Dr Sarfraz Naeemi, whereas Nazim-e-Ala of MQI, Dr Raheeq Ahmad Abbasi was the guest of honour at the occasion. In his presidential speech, Dr Sarfraz Naeemi said that the Muslim Umma was in need of unity and collective action. There was an urgent need of establishing educational institutions. The services of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri in the field of Hadith Sciences were a matter of immense pride and honour for the Islamic Umma.

MQI Nazim-e-Ala Dr Raheeq Ahmad Abbasi said that MQI was servant of the religious scholars and respected their contributions from the core of its heart. He said that religious scholars should pay attention to the training of the youth. Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri is a ray of hope for the Muslim Umma and his reconstructive work would continue to illumine Islamic world for centuries to come.

Sayyid Farhat Hussain Shah, central Nazim of Ulama Council, said that innocent people were being killed as a result of terrorism. On the other hand, Islam stood for peace and harmony. Allama Mir Asif Akber said that the Umma was in the abyss of decline due to lack of unity in its internal ranks. The revivalist services of Shaykh-ul-Islam were an asset for the Umma. Allama Ahmad Mahmood Qadri said that the scholarly contributions of Shaykh-ul-Islam would keep influencing generations for centuries to come. Allah Din Shah said that Minhaj-ul-Quran International was the most dynamic organization and the statesmanship of its leader is acknowledged by all and sundry. Allama Muhammad Aslam Shakoori said in his speech that Islam was being ridiculed in the name of Shariah. Allama Hafiz Khan Muhammad Qadri said that the personality of Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri was a blessing for the sub-continent. He possesses a complete understanding of the problems facing the Muslim Umma and their solutions as well. Pakistan and the Umma could come out of multiple crises by benefiting from the abilities of Dr Qadri.

Allama Sayyid Farooq Hassan Shah, Pir Sayyid Sharif Naqishbandi, Mufti Liaqat Ali Saddiqi, Sayyid Imdad Hussain Shah, Muhammad Sharif Shahzad, Saleh Muhammad Shah, Allama Muhammad Aslam Noori, Muhammad Iqbal and Mumtaz Hussain Saddiqi also spoke at the occasion.
