PAT Chairman Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri held a special meeting with the family members of the martyrs of Model Town tragedy and the workers against whom a fake FIR was lodged by the Police in the wake of the tragedy on June 17, 2014. The workers have attended 304 hearings in the anti-terrorism court in the fake FIR so far.
Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Noorul Haq Qadri called on PAT Chairman Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri at his residence in Model Town. Dr Qadri congratulated Noorul Haq Qadri on becoming the Minister and expressed his best wishes. Chairman MQI Supreme Council Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, President MQI Dr Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri and PAT Secretary General Khurram Nawaz Gandapur were also present on the occasion.
Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has said that if the national resources had been spent on the well-being of the youth, today Pakistan would neither have been a backward country nor needed to go to the IMF for a bailout package. He said that the monster of corruption will have to be crushed for Pakistan to get on to the path of progress. He said that the so-called jugglers played havoc with the Quaid-i-Azam’s Pakistan by making politics the means of making money.

In a hearing of Model Town case in the anti-terrorism court yesterday, Nazim Awan Advocate, one of the lawyers representing the accused police officials, slapped Mohsin Rasool, an eye-witness of the tragedy and threatened of dire consequences. After the incident, complainant Jawad Hamid and the PAT lawyers submitted an application asking for an appropriate action against Nazim Awan Advocate.
